About This Pub
Ah, The Nelson Arms – it's one of those neighbourhood gems that feels just right for a laid-back evening with mates. From what I've gathered, the place has this cosy, inviting feel with plenty of space inside and a lovely garden out back, which is brilliant for soaking up the sun with a cold beer in hand. They're big on sports too, always showing the likes of football matches, so if you're up for cheering on the team, it's a top choice without breaking the bank on drinks or a bite to eat. The staff seem genuinely friendly and get things moving quickly, which is a nice touch when you're settling in for the game. On the downside, a few folks have mentioned some niggles with reservations – like not getting the seats they expected, which could put a dampener on things if you're planning ahead. And while the food's decent enough for pub grub, it's not always spot-on, and the toilets definitely need a bit of an upgrade to match the rest. All in all, it's a solid spot for a fun night out, but I'd say keep expectations realistic and maybe pop in for a drink first to get the lay of the land.

Came here for a party. I've never been to this pub. Good atmosphere, large garden. Toilets need an upgrade. Prices normal for that area.
Have not been here in many a year but was pleasantly surprised.. great service ..decent pizza and cold beer.. plus friendly staff
We were given fewer seats than we had on our reservation and given no compensation or explanation. Vibe was okay and there is a beer garden, but we had to take in turns to stand and share chairs so unfortunately you can't rely on Nelson Arms for reservations

Had a booking for four for the football, booked five days in advance. We were given a table with a poor view of the football with two seats. We had to ask for the other seats, and were only given a third, given the advice that we would ‘be standing anyway for the football’.
The food was also not great
Food was also not that good
I've been driving past this pub for years and it has always intrigued me. It's not a local pub. A mate said he'd drive there so we popped in. Service was friendly and quick. Football was on so a good number of people in. Had a lovely rum and coke in a generous glass. I just wish it was local. Recommend it.
