About This Pub
So, if you're after a proper local haunt in Colliers Wood, The Royal Standard is one of those pubs that really hits the spot for a relaxed get-together. I love how the staff are always up for a chat and get your drinks out in no time, and the beer garden is an absolute gem – it's got heaters so you can enjoy it even when it's not blazing sunshine. Plus, with karaoke and a jukebox on offer, there's plenty to keep things entertaining without it feeling too forced. On the downside, though, the place does have that slightly tired look in spots, and if you're not into sports blaring from the screens, it might get a bit much. Some have pointed out a whiff that's not exactly inviting, and it would be nicer if the management were a bit more engaging to pull everything together. All in all, it's a solid choice for a casual pint with mates, as long as you keep your expectations realistic and head there on a good day.

Received a very friendly welcome. Great service and excellent value for money
A homey local boozer with very reasonable prices compared to a lot of other places locally. Staff were very friendly and I was served quickly. A locals pub for sure, so if that's your vibe then it's perfect. I found it great to sit with a few and catch up on some reading.
The only place in the area with a jukebox. The sports can be a bit overwhelming but the beer garden has heaters and is nice for a quiet drink or two.
Run down looking pub opposite Colliers Wood underground. Staff are pretty friendly and serve quickly enough. A few sports screens dotted about indoors. Good garden area. You need it to be a good day so you can sit outside because this is a pub full of smelly old men. Has that old people home urine smell to it as soon as you walk in. Sure it’s a locals pub but can’t escape the problem of that smell.
