About This Pub

Ah, The Mermaid Inn – it's one of those Belfast spots that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? From the reviews, it's clear folks love the welcoming atmosphere where you can settle in for a chat with the staff and regulars; it's all about that easy-going craic that makes a pub visit memorable. The service stands out as brilliant, with everyone being so attentive and helpful, and they've nailed the drinks side of things – that pint of Harp is apparently the best in town, which is saying something! On the food front, it's got some winners like the vegetarian curry and spicy wings that have people coming back for more. Plus, the place is generally kept in great nick, which always adds to the enjoyment. But let's be fair, it's not perfect; one thing that cropped up is the ladies' toilet needing a extra tidy, and with it only open six days a week, you might need to plan your trip accordingly. No website makes it a tad hard to check details beforehand, but overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening out if you're after good vibes and a bit of Belfast charm.

Hunted high & low in Belfast after staying for the weekend for a down to earth pub friendly bar, we found this place near the end of our holiday & I wish I found it earlier, this place ticks all the boxes if you want a friendly, welcoming, sports environment.

Just a lovely local pub! We stopped in for a pint and could not have been more charmed by the bartender, ambiance and other patrons. Put your hard pants on - the dress code is appreciated - and relax.
