About This Pub

Ah, The Little Club Bar & Grill – what a lovely find in Leicester for anyone who fancies a solid Indian meal without the fuss. From what I've gathered from folks who've been there, the food really steals the show; it's all about those bold, tasty dishes that hit the spot every time, whether you're opting for something spicy or a bit milder if you ask nicely. The service stands out too – it's warm and efficient, with staff who know their menu inside out and aren't hovering over you, which makes for a much more enjoyable chat over dinner. It's clearly a favourite for groups or special nights out, given how buzzing it gets, but that's part of the charm, really, as long as you plan ahead. On the flip side, it can be a tad overwhelming if you're not prepared for the crowds or if the spice level catches you off guard – always good to chat with the team about that. And while the place might look like it could be a sports bar from the outside, once you're in and tucking into those delicious plates, you'll see why it's got such a loyal following. All in all, it's a solid choice for a night out, with enough positives to overlook the minor niggles, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area and in the mood for something hearty and flavoursome.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely delicious, with standout Indian dishes that never fail to impress – think crispy chilli chips with cheese and perfectly spiced sizzlers that leave you wanting more.
  • Service is spot on; the staff are friendly, attentive, and not at all pushy, making for a relaxed and enjoyable evening.
  • It's a lively, popular spot that's perfect for special occasions or a casual get-together, with a welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back.
  • They offer great recommendations, like the chilli lamb, which could be a highlight of your meal if you're up for trying something new.
Cons
  • It can get quite busy, so you'll probably need to book ahead to avoid disappointment, especially if you're planning a spontaneous visit.
  • Some dishes might be spicier than expected, so it's worth mentioning if you prefer milder flavours to ensure everything suits your taste.
  • The name and initial appearance might give off more of a sports bar vibe rather than a traditional Indian restaurant, which could surprise you at first.
  • With opening times starting in the late afternoon, it might not be ideal if you're after a spot for lunch or an early bite.

Great little spot for good Indian food, great service and just an all round good experience. We went for a Father’s Day meal and it did not disappoint, every dish was delish, service was fast and the waiters weren’t too pushy about drinks every 10 mins. We went at a great time (5pm) where it wasn’t too busy either so the restaurant wasn’t too loud. Only little thing I would mention is we asked for medium-hot and it blow our heads off , even as seasoned spicy food eaters. But that’s a small thing easy to correct. Overall a must try!

Wow what a busy little place this is! We had a great evening with some great food. It was a little hotter than we expected so if you do like milder curries then make sure you let them know. Would certainly recommend but definitely a need to book.

My favourite Indian restaurant, must’ve had so many dishes on their menu and none of them fail to impress! The Chinese chilli chips with cheese were a standout—crispy, cheesy, and with a perfect spicy kick. The egg sizzler was visually stunning and delicious, served on a hot plate with perfectly boiled eggs in the tastiest sauce! The chicken kebab rolls as always were juicy and flavorful, wrapped in soft bread… I even asked for these med/hot with extra garlic and they made it happen! Too many great dishes to name…. Garlic chilli king prawns, masala fish, crispy aubergine, their home made samosas and so much more! Overall, the food was 11/10, and I can't for my next visit here (won’t be long)!

Excellent food and service at this popular curry house. Must say that on entry I nearly turned round and went out, I mean the name doesnt even suggest that its an Indian resteraunt, my impression of the downstairs is I thought it was a sports bar, with the large screens showing the latest live events and it all seemed a bit basic. However UPSTAIRS is more like the indian resteraunt we all know and love. I had a great view seated in the window there were large groups of friends and familys enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. Great selection of beers The food was lovely, spicey and hot, the staff were great and the service was fast.
