About This Pub
Ah, The Crows Nest – it's one of those pubs that just makes you smile from the moment you walk in. I've been hearing great things from mates who've popped by, and from the reviews, it's clear this place knows how to make everyone feel welcome. The staff really shine; they're attentive and go out of their way, like sorting out dietary needs without a fuss – it's that kind of thoughtfulness that sticks with you. The food's another winner; the Sunday Carvery comes highly recommended, and it's not just your average meal, but something that'll leave you satisfied without breaking the bank. Plus, if you're with the family, it's brilliant for the kids with things like bouncy castles and outdoor areas to let off steam, making it a top choice for a relaxed day out. On the flip side, their online presence feels a bit lacking – I tried checking the website and hit a snag, which might put some off if they're planning ahead. And those operating hours? They look a bit muddled in the details, so it's worth confirming to dodge any disappointment. All in all, though, it's a solid spot with a friendly buzz that outweighs the minor niggles; I'd say it's well worth a visit for a pint and a chat with friends.
Pros and Cons
Pros

The staff are incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, like when they handle allergies with real care – it's that personal touch that makes you feel right at home.
-
The food is spot on, especially the Sunday Carvery, which folks rave about as one of the best around, and it's great value for what you get.
-
It's a fantastic spot for families, with free entertainment for the little ones like bouncy castles, and plenty of outside seating to enjoy the fresh air.
-
The atmosphere is always lively and friendly, with a bit of banter that adds to the fun – it's just a proper, relaxed pub vibe.
Cons
-
From what I've seen, it's not always clear on the online side, like their website had some issues, which might make it tricky to check things out before heading over.
-
The operating hours seem a tad inconsistent in the listings, so you might want to double-check to avoid any surprises on a quiet evening.

We were left impressed by warm welcome and how kindly staff addressed that my daughter has diary allergy, very thoughtful and careful. We really appreciate it.

Great Sunday Carvery (probably one of the best I have had in a while) Nice and friendly staff too.
Really nice pub. It's not your normal average theme.
Really nice owners.
Outside has lots of seating and entertainment for little ones.
Definitely worth a visit ☺️
Great place for the kids. In fact the only place in Leicester where you can enjoy cup of coffee or nice food while your kids playing in the bouncy castle for free !!
