About This Pub

Ah, The Leopard – it's one of those pubs in Chester that really hits the spot for a casual get-together with mates. From what I've gathered, it's all about that great value; you can grab a pint without worrying about the wallet, and the staff are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels welcome. The atmosphere is spot on, particularly if you're into sports – think loads of screens for the matches and even a rooftop terrace to soak up the sun with a cold one in hand. They've got a decent range of drinks too, from classic beers to ciders, and events like karaoke add a fun twist to evenings out. On the flip side, it does get rammed on busier nights, which can make it a bit of a squeeze, and sometimes they're understaffed, leading to waits that might dampen the mood a tad. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed night, but if you're after something more intimate or unique, you might want to keep that in mind. I'd say it's worth popping in for the experience – just go with the flow and you'll have a good time!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Fantastic value for money with great offers on drinks that won't break the bank.
  • Friendly and welcoming staff who go the extra mile to make your visit enjoyable.
  • A buzzing atmosphere, especially for catching the big games with plenty of TVs and even a rooftop terrace on sunny days.
  • A solid selection of beers, ciders, and other drinks that cater to all tastes.
  • Fun events like karaoke and shuffleboard that add a bit of excitement to the night.
Cons
  • It can get incredibly busy, especially on weekends or during events, which means longer waits for service.
  • Feels a tad like a standard chain pub at times, without much that's uniquely special about it.
  • Short-staffed on peak occasions, which might leave you feeling a bit overlooked when things get hectic.

Basically a wetherspoons without the name above the door. Wasn't a bad pint and the service was OK.

Great pub, great atmosphere and more than great drink selection. Roof top terrace in the summer months and plenty of TVs to watch Liverpool I mean sports. YNWA97

Eek football Saturday, short staffed and crazy busy. Our server was brilliant once he got to me, yes I should stop being so Canafian and just push through. Tapped beer and cider are reasonably priced. Escape upstairs for a semblance of peace and quiet.

A new pub for Chester. It’s something different to the regular pubs around. A sports bar with darts. Great selection of drinks. Very friendly staff. And good prices. Definitely one to visit.
