About This Pub
Ah, the Old Queens Head – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a second home in Chester, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this warm, welcoming atmosphere where you can kick back with a cold lager and watch the footy or join in a karaoke session without a care. The staff are top-notch, always up for a chat and making sure everyone's having a good time, which really adds to the charm. Plus, with those unbeatable drink deals and decent grub like fish and chips, it's easy to see why folks keep coming back for more. On the flip side, it can get a bit lively on weekends, and there might be the occasional hassle from someone who's had one too many, so it's worth keeping that in mind if you're after a quiet evening. All in all, I'd say it's a solid choice for a night out with mates – just go with the flow and you'll have a cracking time!

-
It's got a fantastic atmosphere, perfect for groups or just catching up with mates over a pint and some live sports.

They've got great entertainment on offer, from live music and karaoke to showing all the big games on HD screens.
-
The food hits the spot too, with tasty options like fish and chips that come highly recommended.
Cons

There can be the odd rowdy moment on busy nights, like someone causing a nuisance, which might spoil the fun for a bit.
-
It might get a tad crowded during peak times, so you could end up waiting for a seat or dealing with the hustle.

What a great few days we spent in the Pub. Tasha(and staff) were absolutely brilliant. Great atmosphere, cheap drinks, sports. What more could 35 men want. I hope to be back there soon. Well done Tasha.
I normally go to the queen's pub on Friday or Saturday night, it is absolutely fantastic, always meet someone new in there, they come to Chester for a night out and think it's brilliant people are great staff are nice. I also tried the food, good fish and chips in there, one of the best, definitely good portions and good value.it's a nice pub.
Finished up here because of the karaoke on Saturday during our weekend away. Karaoke presenter was very amenable and friendly. Was enjoying ourselves until a young drunk took a shine to my other half and became a nuisance. I conducted myself when it was easier to sort it, then he upset another guy who pushed him around a bit so we left along with a few others. Not one security person came to sort him out.
In the end a disappointing end to what started nice.
I would say one of the best places in Chester to have a night out. Plus drinks prices are the best. The door staff look after you and if there's any trouble there straight in there getting rid of any trouble makers
Good friendly place to enjoy drinks and have a dance . Welcoming and warm to all . Never had food here , so I can't comment on the food, but the music is a good mixture of decades, and the atmosphere is lovely.
