About This Pub
Ah, The Kingswood Colliers, it's one of those Wetherspoon pubs that you pop into for a cheeky pint and end up staying longer than planned, especially with that lively atmosphere that just draws you in. I love how it's got this great outside area where smokers can relax without feeling out of place, and the menu's an absolute winner with so many options to choose from, all at prices that won't break the bank. It's open late most days, which is brilliant for a casual night out. On the flip side, though, I've heard a few tales of staff not quite pulling their weight – like a barman who seemed a bit grumpy or waits that stretch on forever – and it's a shame because that can really spoil the fun. The cleanliness isn't always top-notch either, with sticky tables or dodgy toilets that might make you think twice about sticking around. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after good value and a bit of buzz, but I'd say go in with realistic expectations and maybe plan for a quick one rather than a full evening, just to avoid any letdowns.
Pros and Cons
Pros

The atmosphere is really lively and welcoming, making it a great spot to catch up with mates.
-
There's a handy outside area that's perfect for smokers, so you can enjoy a pint without missing out.
-
The menu is massive and offers something for everyone, from classic pub grub to more international flavours – it's a budget-friendly treat.
Cons
-
Service can be a bit inconsistent, with some staff having off days that might put a damper on your visit.
-
The toilets and tables aren't always as spotless as you'd like, which can make the place feel a tad neglected.
-
Wait times for drinks and food can drag on, especially if the team's not on top form, leading to a frustrating experience.
-
Food might not always hit the mark, like getting everything at once or ending up with dry dishes that leave you wanting more.

Great atmosphere with the customers, outside area suitable for us smokers.
Had a barman that was rubbish, thought he may be having a bad day but when I went back another time he was still the same!! It's a shame that 1 member of staff can ruin the experience.
I always judge a pub by it's toilets ,needed cleaning poor ,not that busy only 1 person serving at bar ,the rest of staff chatting to each other so had to wait to get served ,tables sticky and filled up with plates ,had to asked to get cleaned .you would think if not overbusy they could clean tables and toilets etc.food arrived Luke warm asked for bread got toast!
Ordered a pint at 2:16pm, It’s now 3pm and I still haven’t received my pint. I’ve asked TWICE now and been told it’s on its way. UPDATE: we left at 3:30pm after I still had not been handed a single beer, ordered some halloumi fries and they were drier than ghandis flip flops. Possibly the worst spoons experience I’ve ever had. Poor service, poor food. Will never be coming back. Should really think about retraining staff as that ginger guy had 0 clue what he was doing.
Ordered breakfast and sticky toffee pudding fir dessert. Both items came out same time. Apparently I didn't tell them that the pudding was to come out as desert???? When I complained apparently lots of people enjoy it same time!!
Refused to take it back but said he'd put it under the hot plate.
Breakfast tasted as been cooked in microwave. Not v edible. Wont be back
The menu is vast, catering to various tastes with everything from classic pub grub to international dishes.
