The Kings Head in Kingswood

Ah, The Kings Head – what a lovely little spot it is in Bristol! From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got that warm, community feel where the staff are always up for a chat and the drinks are so reasonably priced, you'll be tempted to stay for one more. The jukebox keeps things upbeat, and the darts add a bit of excitement for a proper pub experience. It's just the place for sinking a few pints of cider and sharing a laugh with friends on a relaxed afternoon or evening. But, to be fair, it's not without its downsides – the outside toilets can be a drag in the rain, and you'll probably have to dodge a few smokers near the door, which isn't ideal. That stale beer aroma is a classic pub trait, but it might not appeal if you're after something a tad more polished. All in all, if you're up for an honest, no-frills good time, I'd say give it a go; it's got heaps of heart, even with those little niggles.
