About This Pub
Ah, The King's Head – it's one of those proper London pubs that just draws you in with its charm, especially if you're after that authentic British feel in Earl's Court. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food really steals the show; folks are raving about the fish and chips, sausage and mash, and that sticky toffee pudding – it's all hearty, flavoursome stuff made with fresh ingredients that make you want to come back for seconds. The atmosphere is spot on too, with a cosy fire, lively bar chats, and regular pub quizzes that get everyone involved, perfect for a catch-up with friends or even planning a private do. But, let's be fair, it's not all roses; some prices seem a touch steep, like that Greek salad that's more flash than substance for the cost, and the service can drag a bit, leaving you twiddling your thumbs when you're eager for another drink. Still, with an overall solid rating and plenty of happy faces, it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just go in with realistic expectations and you'll likely have a grand time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot on, with British classics like fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding getting rave reviews – they're proper tasty and made with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
-
The staff are a delight; think friendly, funny folks who make you feel right at home, like that chap Carl who turned a meal into a memorable chat.
-
It's got a warm, lively atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxed pint by the fire or catching up with mates over a pub quiz – just the ticket for a classic British pub experience.
-
They've got options for private events and groups, making it a great spot for celebrations or meetings without the fuss.
Cons
-
Some dishes feel a bit overpriced, like that £16 Greek salad that's more of a side than a main – it might leave you wanting more bang for your buck.
-
Service can be on the slow side at times, which might frustrate you if you're in a hurry for that next round or meal.
-
Portions aren't always generous; for instance, the fish in the fish and chips combo could do with being a tad bigger to really hit the spot.

The food was really good!! Wanted to experience the British Fish and Chips and the toffee pudding - both were fantastic!
Shout out to Carl!! This man is S-tier! Very friendly, funny and charming as the British say it. Made the whole experience really nice!!
The Greek salad in the photo cost £16 — and it’s sold as a MAIN! 😵 Well played, King's Head, for managing to rip me off. Haha. Off to have a proper dinner somewhere else now ⚠️
The place has a great and kind atmosphere. We visited the place with two kids, all of us consumed almost every bit. The food was hot, tasty, and filling - excellent! Their ale was perfect. The staff is kind and gets to you allways on time. Thank you!
I popped by solo during Saturday afternoon and grabbed a Guinness and fish and chip combo. The fish I felt like could’ve given more.. but the chips were star of the show here. The service was nice and she checked in on how the food was. There were no TVs that I could see incase you come here for that.
Stumbled upon this quintessential pub that turned out to be a gem in Earl's Court, London. Although the service was a bit slow, the food and atmosphere were terrifically London and the server was very pleasant.
Sausage and mash were absolutely delicious and sticky toffee pudding was exceptional.
