About This Pub
Ah, The Kings Arms in Coleorton – it's one of those pubs that really pulls you in with its positives, but you've got to take the rough with the smooth. From what I've gathered chatting about it, the staff are absolute gems; they're warm and chatty, which makes popping in for a drink feel like catching up with mates. The food's another winner – whether it's those mouthwatering cheesy chips that folks rave about or a solid Sunday carvery, it's clear the chef knows their stuff and even goes the extra mile for special requests. It's family-friendly too, with space for the dog and a peaceful campsite if you're staying over, which adds a nice touch for a relaxed day out. On the flip side, though, it's not all rosy; some have mentioned the place feeling a bit neglected, like with sticky tables or grubby toilets, which can really dampen the mood. And let's be honest, if the service drags or comes across as a bit offhand, it might leave you wishing for a quicker pint elsewhere. Overall, it's a decent local haunt with a 4.4 rating that shows more folks are smitten than not, so if you're in the area, I'd say give it a go – just keep your expectations balanced and maybe check it's on form before heading in for that perfect pub experience.

Lovely place to come to.
Very friendly staff.
Food was incredible and the chef is a lovely bloke.
Great cheesy chips, I would go back just for them, the beer was good as well.
Unfortunately, my visit to The King’s Arms wasn’t a good experience. The place felt quite neglected—tables were sticky, and the toilets really needed cleaning. It just didn’t give off a comfortable or welcoming vibe.
Service was slow and a bit dismissive. I didn’t feel like a valued customer at all. The drink I ordered didn’t taste fresh, and for the price, I expected better quality.
There was also a group being quite loud and no staff seemed interested in stepping in. It felt a bit chaotic and not somewhere I’d feel comfortable bringing friends or family.
Disappointed overall—I had hoped for more, but I won’t be coming back anytime soon.
Stayed overnight on their campsite. Nice friendly atmosphere, the dog was welcome, good wash facilities. It was nice and quiet with a picnic area if you wanted to sit outside. The pub had a good selection of drinks and a nice carvery meal for £12 on Sundays. Would recommend.
Lovely Sunday lunch. Food was really nice. My mum didn't fancy the veggie option so the chef made up a nice fish dish that wasn't on the menu and she loved it. We had a very nice family meal.
