About This Pub
You know, I popped into The Joiners Arms the other week and it really left a smile on my face – it's one of those pubs that feels like a proper local gem in Harrogate. The Sunday carvery stands out as a winner; it's packed with tasty roasts, fresh veggies, and everything's cooked just right, making it brilliant value for a relaxed meal with mates. The drinks selection is spot on too, with some cracking cask ales and a beer garden that's just the ticket for a bit of fresh air. The team behind the bar are dead friendly, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after. On the downside, it's shut on Mondays and Tuesdays, which is a bit of a nuisance if you're planning something mid-week, and Sundays can be heaving, so booking's a must to snag a table. All in all, it's a solid choice for good food, drinks, and that welcoming feel, but keep those operating hours in mind to avoid any surprises.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The Sunday carvery is absolutely spot on – plenty of delicious meats, fresh veg, and that homemade gravy really hits the spot.
-
The staff are so welcoming and attentive; they make you feel right at home, like chatting with old friends.
-
A great selection of cask ales, beers, wines, and ciders to choose from, including Timothy Taylor's Landlord which is a real treat.
-
There's a lovely large beer garden at the back with heaps of seating, perfect for enjoying a drink outdoors on a sunny day.
-
It's a family-run spot with a warm, inclusive vibe, and they've got free Wi-Fi throughout, which is handy if you're popping in for a bite.
Cons
-
It's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, which means it's not ideal if you're after a mid-week pint or meal.
-
Things can get pretty busy on Sundays, so you'll definitely want to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
-
Food service hours are a bit limited, wrapping up early in the evenings on some days, which might not suit those looking for a late-night nosh.

We had a lovely Easter Sunday lunch at the Joiners Arm. Great service and delicious food -very fresh and home cooked, good value. Highly recommend.
Come here often ! Always lovely , today was a remembrance lunch for our mum who passed away with dementia 2 years ago ! We booked a table of 10, put a photo of mum
On the table , and Janine a wonderful member of staff asked it that was mum and l had only mentions it when booking on the phone . The Food was Gorgeous , also the drinks 🍷l like Malbec which unlike some places is not overpriced ! My nephews and brother in law enjoyed the many options of both bottled and draught beers 🍺
