A hidden gem....if you want to stay in a real traditional Yorkshire village pub and feel part of the local community during your stay, Glen and Louise have created the perfect place for you. Highly recommended!
Had lunch there during the week. Wonderful food and great value. Was quite busy so would recommend that you book in advance to ensure a table. We had lasagne, Gammon and fish and chips all very tasty and would definitely have again.
We had Sunday lunch at The Queens head and it was excellent. Brilliant service. The best gravy I have ever tasted and good quality veg and meat. Will definitely go again and highly recommend
The finest steak and ale pie I’ve tasted. The menu provides a great selection without being overkill. The staff is friendly and engaging and the prices are very competitive.
Situated just outside Harrogate, this pub offers very good food in a comfortable, friendly dining room where plenty of diners can enjoy a real fire and a Yorkshire welcome. The staff are great too.
Glad we had the sat nav working as we arrived after dark (country lane to negotiate) but there’s plenty of parking at the rear of the pub. It’s in a quiet location in a small village.
The bedroom was fine and warm ( duvet perhaps a little warmer than I like) and old style- (not chic boutique)but it was plenty big enough in the twin room. Hope we will stay again and next time we will call and book direct and get a cheaper rate.
