About This Pub
Ah, The Jack Snipe Bar – it's one of those places in Cumbernauld that you might stumble upon for a pint or a special do, and from what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got some real charm going for it. The staff seem like the heart of the place, always on hand with a smile and making sure everything runs smoothly, which is just what you want when you're out for a laugh with friends. It's particularly ace for private functions; I've heard stories of brilliant birthday bashes and family celebrations with tasty buffets that keep everyone happy. On the upside, it's open most days from around midday, giving you flexibility for a quick stop or a full evening. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses – a few folks have mentioned the prices being a tad high, which could make you think twice if you're on a budget. Then there's the odd complaint about drinks not being up to scratch, like flat lager that needed swapping, and some recent vibes feeling a bit off, based on those mixed reviews. Still, with an overall rating of 4 out of 5, it's worth considering if you're in the area; just go in with your eyes open and maybe test the waters first. All in all, it's a solid choice for a get-together, as long as you take the good with the not-so-good!

The sort of place you wipe you feet when leaving, and nearly double the price of other pubs
Personally hired the function hall for 14 years, recommended it to all my family, friends and members of the church and school communities.
I've had christenings, communions, 21st and 30ths thrown in the function hall and always had a great time. Until my last daughters communion where we were asked to leave early. 14 years of loyalty means nothing to the owners, over a little bit of cake. There was more mess on the dance floor from kids eating the cake. That was all cleaned yet my daughters party was still cut short and we were asked to leave.
Would not recommend. Go to the Burroughs instead.
Superb place for a party, lots of seating, bar draught lager was flat, had it changed twice, but everything else was good.

Nice wee place. We were in for private function and the family had picked the food but staff were very pleasant and attentive. Good place for a wee night out.
