About This Pub
Ah, The Hinds Head – what a gem it is, tucked away in Chorley. From the reviews I've had a look at, it's clear this place knows how to treat you right; the staff are just lovely, always going the extra mile to make sure everything's spot on, whether it's sorting out a table switch or whipping up something special like a pizza for the little ones. The food sounds absolutely divine – think fresh, flavoursome options with hearty portions that leave you feeling chuffed, and at a moderate price that feels fair. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, ideal for a casual catch-up or celebrating something like Mother's Day, as a few folks mentioned. On the flip side, it does get bustling on busier days, so you might have to plan ahead to snag a spot, and those operating hours listed online are a tad confusing, which could catch you out. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're after a reliable spot for good grub and friendly service – I'd say give it a try if you're in the area, as it seems to hit the mark more often than not.
Pros and Cons

-
The food is spot on; fresh, tasty dishes with generous portions and a great variety to suit all tastes, from hearty breakfasts to comforting mains.
-
It's got a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed evening or a special occasion, with plenty of seating options.
-
Excellent value for money, especially with the portion sizes and quality – you'll leave feeling satisfied without breaking the bank.
-
They're flexible with bookings and can accommodate changes or special requests, which makes for a stress-free visit.
Cons
-
The operating hours seem a bit muddled in the listings, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any surprises.
-
It can get quite busy on peak days like weekends or holidays, which might mean a wait for a table even with a reservation.
-
While the reviews are glowing, there isn't much mention of dietary options or specifics for those with allergies, so it might need a quick query beforehand.

This place offers a truly amazing breakfast experience! From the moment I walked in, I was treated with kindness and respect, making me feel like a 👑☀️👑🌞
The food was delicious—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing morning. But the best part was the staff—so friendly and attentive! They made sure everyone felt special and treated with the same care and respect.
If you want a royal breakfast experience, this is the place to go! I will definitely be back!
Thank you 😊
I recently visited The Hinds Head for some hearty, comforting food.
I started with the breaded goat’s cheese, which was a special at the time and I really hope they add it to the main menu because it was divine! For mains, I went for the fish pie, which came out piping hot and packed with fresh, tasty fish. Exactly how a fish pie should be! A usual order for me is the slow roasted lamb shank, it’s always cooked to perfection with a great portion of meat and just look at that minted mash😍
I love how the Hinds Head has that proper classic pub feel but with a modern twist on both the decor and menu. Always a solid choice!

Had heard good things about the Hinds Head and was really pleased that I went.
Lovely calm atmosphere and plenty of tables close to the bar as well as a separate room.
Menu has got a wide range of options, and the price of the items is great, especially when you see the size of the items. Had a delicious garlic bread with feta and red onion that was absolutely huge and delicious.
Fish & Chips for my main, homemade mushy peas and tartare sauce were both excellent. Batter on the fish was really light but nicely crispy. Didn't look at the dessert menu but only because I was absolutely stuffed.
Meal with 1 starter, 2 mains and 2 drinks was less than £40. Absolute bargain. Staff were all brilliant. Highly recommended it.
