About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about The Hinds Head – it's one of those pubs that really warms the cockles of your heart. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is spot on; we're talking home-cooked classics like perfectly grilled steaks, burgers, and even a good vegan selection, all served up fresh and at prices that won't sting your wallet. The portions are generous too, so you won't leave feeling short-changed. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and making sure everything runs smoothly, which adds to that cosy, welcoming feel. And don't forget the drinks – they've got a cracking range of real ales and wines that pair nicely with the grub. It's got a charming beer garden for those rare sunny afternoons in Stockport, making it a top spot for a laid-back afternoon or evening. But, to be fair, it's not flawless; service can drag a bit when things get hectic, so if you're in a rush, it might not be the best choice. All in all, though, it's a solid gem for anyone after a proper pub experience – I'd say give it a go for the good vibes and great nosh.

As a family, we have visited this pub over and over. Beautiful setting. Lovely beer garden. Food is superb and very reasonably priced. Excellent service. We really celebrated my mums 70th and held the gathering in the conservatory area. We ordered a cold buffet with extra hot food of chips, chicken satay, and pizza. They let us bring decorations and music and provided a cake stand. Staff couldn't do enough. Highly recommend. They also provide pub stop overs for campervans. Book in advance and stay overnight. Just eat in there the next day! It's highly useful when going out in Manchester as it's walking distance from the 192 bus route. We always return and are never disappointed ❤️

Went for a meal here and will definitely be going again. The staff were friendly and made sure we had all we needed, the food was great and everything looked and tasted like it was freshly prepared. The prices were really reasonable, especially for the size of the portions and there were loads of vegetarian and vegan options. Definitely recommend.

Overall a good experience here, the food is top quality, well cooked, neatly presented and absolutely delicious, with a vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff. Service was relatively slow on the night but would certainly go again and recommend to others.

Went for a birthday meal with our friends and were really impressed! Food was served piping hot and tasted amazing - good variation on offer as well (burgers, pasta, fish and chips, fried chicken, and a vegan section) so there's definitely something for everyone. Portions are pretty generous, it's unlikely you'll leave here unsatisfied. Atmosphere is typical pub vibes - got a little loud at times from other visitors but that's to be expected. No obnoxious loud music or TVs blaring, so bonus points for that.
