About This Pub
Ah, The Grapes Bar and Grill, what a gem it's turned out to be! I've been hearing some great buzz about this place, and from the reviews, it's clear folks are loving the food – we're talking mouthwatering mixed grills, spicy curries, and those crispy naan breads that just hit the spot. It's got that homely pub vibe where everything feels straightforward and enjoyable, with meals that are not only tasty but also great value for money. The team's efforts really shine through, especially with the new chefs putting their heart into it, making dishes that are full of flavour and perfectly cooked. On the flip side, while the recent feedback is all positive, that 4.4 rating overall hints there might be the occasional slip-up or busier times when service isn't as smooth. Plus, without a website, it's a tad frustrating if you want to scope out the options beforehand. All in all, if you're in the Bilston area and fancy a solid meal in a friendly setting, I'd say give it a go – it's one of those places that could become your new local favourite, as long as you go in with realistic expectations.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food here is absolutely spot on – think tasty mixed grills, curries, and fresh naan bread that's crispy and full of flavour, making it a real treat for a casual meal out.
-
Prices are reasonable for what you get, so you won't break the bank while enjoying some seriously good grub.
-
It's open seven days a week with fairly consistent hours, which makes it easy to pop in whenever the mood strikes, especially in the evenings.
-
The team seems to take pride in their cooking, with customers raving about tender chicken and well-presented dishes that leave you wanting more.
Cons
-
While the reviews we've seen are glowing, the overall rating of 4.4 suggests there might be the odd off day or mixed experiences that aren't captured here, so it could vary.
-
No website means it's a bit tricky to check the menu or book ahead online, which might put you off if you're planning a visit from afar.
-
From what I can tell, it might get busy without much notice, as it's a popular spot, so you could end up waiting for a table on peak nights.

Passed it loads of times. Never knew it was a mixed grill place. I've been 3 times now. Food reasonably priced and very tasty. I spend alot of time in the area and I'm sure I'll use again.

We had a lovely boneless mixed grill chilli paneer, fish pakoras and veg noodles. All well presented and delicious. Thanks guys 😁
First visit and won't be the last. I had chicken karahi with mushroom rice and cheesy nann. The food was amazing, chicken so tender it fell apart in my mouth. Can't wait to come here again. Compliments to the chef ⭐️
Came here to try the food after hearing there was a new team of chefs in house with my partner and in laws.
The food was too notch, not one of us had a bad thing to say, the naan bread was so crispy and all 4 curry's were flavourful and full of meat, you can tell the new team prides themselves on their food and it shows!
We will definitely be coming back again soon.
Amazing mixed grill went in for the Grapes mixed grill and it was really good. The chicken seekh kebab everything was top notch. Will be back!!
