About This Pub

Ah, the Horse and Jockey – it's one of those neighbourhood pubs that has a certain charm about it, you know? From what I've gathered, the staff are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making everyone feel at home, which really adds to the cosy atmosphere. It's brilliant for a low-key night, with drinks that won't break the bank and fun elements like karaoke that can turn an ordinary evening into something memorable. Folks have mentioned making loads of new mates there, which is just what you want from a good pub. On the flip side, it's a bit of a letdown when things like the toilets aren't up to scratch – no toilet paper? That's just not on. And honestly, it can feel a tad dead at times, with not much variety on tap or events to liven things up, so it might not be the go-to for a lively night out. All in all, it's worth popping in if you're nearby and fancy a pint, but keep in mind it has its ups and downs, like any old spot.

The atmosphere can be spot on when it's buzzing, with good vibes and even nods to classic beers like Boddingtons bitter.

Cons
-

There have been issues with basics like no toilet paper, which can really put a dampener on things.

-

It sometimes feels a bit quiet or lifeless, with not much going on or options on tap, which is a shame for a pub.

Reviews suggest it might not always live up to its potential, lacking that extra spark to make it stand out.
