About This Pub

Ah, the Cleveland Arms – it's one of those pubs that really pulls you in with its welcoming vibe, isn't it? From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted by staff who are proper professionals, always friendly and helpful, making it feel like you're catching up with old mates. The food's a real highlight; their sizzling skillets and burgers are spot on, and with fair prices and options for everyone, including veggies, it's hard not to leave satisfied. Plus, it's brilliant for a laugh – think multiple TVs for all the sports action, pool tables, and a jukebox that keeps things lively. They're even involved in the local community, supporting charities and such, which gives it that extra feel-good factor. But, let's be straight, there was that one review where things went south with some staff rudeness and what sounded like unfair treatment, which is a bit of a downer and something we'd all hope gets sorted. And on busier nights, it can get a tad crowded, so if you're in the mood for a relaxed pint, timing your visit right might be key. All in all, it's a solid spot for a great night out, as long as you go in with your eyes open.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and top-notch service that makes you feel right at home.
  • The food is an absolute winner – think delicious sizzling skillets, flame-grilled burgers, and great value daily offers that hit the spot every time.
  • Prices are fair and honest, offering good variety in drinks and meals, including vegan and vegetarian options, without breaking the bank.
  • It's got a fantastic atmosphere for watching sports, with loads of TVs showing everything from football to speedway, plus fun extras like pool tables and a jukebox.
  • They're really part of the community, helping with local charities and offering their function area for free, which adds a nice touch of heart to the place.
Cons
  • There have been reports of rude behaviour from some staff, including one instance that raised concerns about potential prejudice, which is disappointing and could spoil a visit.
  • It can get pretty busy, especially during sports events in the evenings, so if you're after a peaceful, quiet spot, you might want to pop in mid-week afternoons instead.

Nice pub to visit. It's been a while since I've come to this pub. Great staff, very friendly and the drinks and food are reasonable priced with a good variety. It can get busy on sports event days in the evening, but if you're after a quiet drink, mid week afternoon is best. Top place, will come again.

Really good clean pub. Loads of pool tables brilliant jukebox, loads of televisions you can watch any sport you want just ask Will the manager and he will seat you somewhere and put what you want on that tv. The food is really good and quite cheap. There's a sizzler app you can download which I reluctantly did, now I get loads of free drinks free nachos and 33% off my food sometimes. I actually now save it all up an me an a mate have a really cheap night out. If you like your burgers I recommend the old faithful double beef with fat chips!! Cracking. There's also a quiet area if you want to sit an have a chat. Chloe the young girl behind the bar is so polite and pours the best pint.

Our recent visit to your Wolverhampton establishment was deeply unsatisfactory and gave rise to concerns of racial prejudice. Upon arrival, a staff member in a floral shirt was discourteous and made an inaccurate and rude comment regarding the time taken to order drinks, which felt racially motivated. Subsequently, the starters served were burnt and overcooked. Despite this poor quality, we were charged and paid the full price. This experience was unacceptable, and we will not be returning.
