About This Pub

Ah, The Glassy Junction in Wolverhampton – it's one of those places that sounds like a solid choice for a casual meal, especially with that 4.3 rating overall. I reckon it's great for grabbing an inexpensive grill or curry without breaking the bank, and from what I've seen, when they get it right, the mixed grills are packed with a nice selection of meats that could really satisfy a craving. It's open every day from around lunchtime, which is perfect if you're looking for a relaxed spot to pop in with mates. But, fair's fair, it's not all sunshine and roses – lately, there've been a few grumbles about the food not quite living up to expectations, like curries that are too sweet or dishes that lack flavour, and some stories of service hiccups that might leave you a bit frustrated. Still, it's worth keeping in mind that older reviews rave about the value and quality, so maybe it's just had a rough patch. If you're heading there, I'd say go in with an open mind and perhaps stick to the classics – it's all about that balanced experience, innit?

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • It's got some cracking deals on the menu, making it a wallet-friendly spot for a bite after work.
  • When they're on form, the curries and mixed grills are spot on, with a good variety of meats that really hit the spot.
  • The overall vibe seems decent based on past experiences, and it's open seven days a week, which is handy for a spontaneous outing.
Cons
  • The food quality can be a bit hit and miss lately, with complaints about things tasting off, like overly sweet curries or bland tikka.
  • Service isn't always up to scratch; there have been tales of slow waits and even arguments over refunds, which puts a dampener on things.
  • Some dishes have fallen short, such as raw samosas or overly salty kebabs, leaving a few folks vowing not to return.

Cheap and cheerful. Curry was very sweet . They use chicken thigh meat which is cheap meat. No onions or chutney with poppadoms. Won't be revisiting sorry.

Not good how it was. Picked up mixed grill and it’s taste totally different what I use to had. they were good but today chicken tikka have no flavour in it it’s taste less, stick kabab is full of salt it’s like salt kebabs, wings are okay. Just eat wings rest gone in Bin. I didn’t know if they have changed chef or something but after today it’s big no from me. Walking to KFC now to grab a quick meal

Best Indian Grill around! Fantastic price for a grill of that size. Excellent curries! The service can sometimes be a little slow, but it is most definitely worth the wait for food of this quality. The mixed grill has a great selection of meats ranging from lamb chops to Fried chicken lollipops, which are to die for. Each cut of meat is spice uniquely and all tasted delicious. The ocra was delicious and well as the paneer curry. I will definitely be returning again.
