About This Pub

Ah, The Harp Inn – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its homely charm in the heart of Wolverhampton. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, most people rave about the welcoming feel, especially with that log fire going on a cold night; it's like wrapping yourself in a big, comfy blanket while you sip your drink. The food gets a thumbs up too – someone mentioned a brilliant goat curry that hit the spot after a wander around town. And let's not forget the laid-back vibe; it's ideal for kicking back with mates after work, with friendly faces making it feel like your local haunt. On the flip side, it's not all roses – a couple of reviews pointed out that the staff can be a tad brusque or even arrogant, which is a shame because it could sour an otherwise great evening. Still, with an overall solid rating, I'd say it's worth popping in for a try, but maybe keep your expectations in check for the service side of things. All in all, it's a solid choice for us pub enthusiasts looking for a relaxed spot, as long as you're up for a bit of the good with the not-so-good.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere at The Harp Inn is absolutely charming – it's got that cosy, welcoming vibe with a warm log fire that makes you feel right at home on a chilly evening.
  • The locals and staff are generally spot on; they're friendly and create a relaxed, old-school pub feel where you can unwind after a long day.
  • They serve up some cracking food and drinks – think hearty meals like goat curry, perfect for a satisfying meal while you chat away.
  • It's open every day from midday till 11pm, making it a reliable spot for a casual get-together or a quick pint without any fuss.
Cons
  • A few folks have mentioned that the staff can come across as a bit rude or offhand at times, which might put a dampener on your visit.
  • There's a sense that service isn't always consistent, with some experiences feeling less welcoming than others, especially if you're not a regular.

Was staying close by for one night & needed to eat so went for a wander & tripped over the Harp. Found the place warm both in nature & the log fire, locals were really genuinely friendly, a good old school vibe of people just wanting to relax & get on after work. Great barman & Chef, a Goat Curry most will struggle to finish as generous portions but wisely avoided the super hot sauce one of the Pool players encouraged. I'd definitely visit again. Thanks.

I would give this place NO stars if it were possible. This used to be my most favourite pub till it was taken over by the current management. The previous management treated regulars with respect. The current management are rude and arrogant. smt.
