About This Pub
Ah, The Freemount – it's one of those Manchester gems that just pulls you in with its lively energy and that welcoming glow from the get-go. I've got to say, the staff really steal the show; they're chatty, efficient, and make you feel like you're among mates, which is just what you want after a long week. The live music adds this fantastic buzz that gets everyone up and dancing, and the drinks flow nicely with a good variety to suit most tastes – whether you're after a pint or something a bit stronger. It's moderately priced too, so you won't break the bank for a night out. On the flip side, though, the smoking area's not quite as charming as it was in the old days, and if you're a real ale fan, you might find the options a tad limited compared to some other spots around town. Overall, it's a solid choice for a fun evening; I'd pop in for the atmosphere and the top-notch service, but keep in mind those little areas where it could do with a tweak. If you're heading out in Manchester, give it a go – you might just find your new favourite haunt!

-
Drinks are spot on, with a solid selection including great pints and an impressive spirit collection that's perfect for a proper tipple.
-
It's a safe and welcoming spot with speedy service, even when it's heaving, and plenty of seating inside and out for a comfy catch-up.
-
The vibe is cool and lively, making it a top choice for a dance or a relaxed evening in the heart of Manchester.
Cons
-
The smoking area doesn't quite live up to the old venue's standards, which might disappoint if you're after that classic outdoor feel.
-
It's not the place for real ale enthusiasts, as the selection leans more towards other options like Guinness or lagers.

I can't recommend The Freemount enough! Every visit is a pleasure thanks to their excellent bar staff. The live music is always top-notch and really gets the place buzzing. Plus, the door staff are genuinely lovely and welcoming. A huge thank you to Mason for always being such a gent – he really makes a difference!
Had an awesome night at Freemount Bar in Manchester. Cool vibe, good tunes, and solid drinks. Big shoutout to Brandon behind the bar—super friendly and knew how to pour a proper pint. Proper sound guy. Definitely coming back soon.
The new venue is excellent, the only negative I can say is about the smoking area which will never be able to beat the old establishment! But the staff, music and drinks are always fantastic with a crowd to match. If you are looking for a place too dance in an evening then this is the spot highly recommended!
Out and about in Manchester with Albrecht. Have not been in this non real ale pub in many years but fancied a pint of Guinness. A very good choice. Albrecht had a pint of Estrella. £12.20 for the two pints. A one room pub taken back to the bare brick. A small rear outdoor area. Impressive spirit collection. Very friendly staff. The toucan murals take me back 60 years; we had metal trays with the Guinness toucans when I was a lad. ( sister still has them!) They do have live music. Pipped music was pretty damn good.
It has become a regular feature on a night out. The bartenders and bouncers look after their guests and provide a safe environment. Speedy service even on busy days. The live music is always enjoyable and fun. I have really begun to love this place. Also, there is so much seating inside and out (perfect for a nice sunny day). Drinks are always great!
