About This Pub
You know, when you step into The Fat Cat, it's like stumbling upon a hidden gem that's been polished to perfection over the years. It's got this brilliant reputation for its real ales, and honestly, they're spot on – fresh, well-priced, and with such a wide choice that you'll be spoilt for options. The atmosphere is just right, too; it's cosy and full of character with all that memorabilia, making it feel like a proper traditional boozer where you can relax and chat. The staff really go the extra mile, always cheerful and attentive, which adds to the charm. On the flip side, it does tend to fill up quickly, so you might have to plan ahead if you want a quiet corner, and if you're hoping for more than just a quick bite like their tasty pork pies, you could be a tad disappointed. All in all, it's a fantastic spot for a pint with mates, but it's worth keeping those little niggles in mind to set your expectations.

Cons
-
It can get quite busy, especially on evenings and weekends, which might make it a bit tricky to find a seat if you're popping in spontaneously.

The food options seem pretty limited, mostly sticking to simple bar snacks rather than a full menu, so it might not suit if you're after a proper meal.

Find it challenging to find the words to describe this place. It has to be one of the best pubs, if not the best pub in Britain. Great ales, nice atmosphere, interesting memorabilia, what a place. As we were leaving, a member of staff broke off his conversation to thank us for our custom - sums this place up, pure class.
Great real ale pub. Huge choice of ale. Staff are friendly, excellent pork pies, arguably the best pub in Norwich
Good prices, good beer, good pork pies. What else could you want? Good vibes all around.
The best real ale pub I've ever found, just amazing, a traditional boozer of the highest order
A place to be. Pints are impeccable and fresh (well priced too) brewed by the local brewery of the same name. Though enough guest beers and imported stuff. Cozy and beautiful this pub feels like home even when quite busy with friendly locals. Plenty of seating outside too.
