About This Pub

Ah, The Belle Vue, it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a proper Norwich night out. I've got to say, the folks running the place are absolute stars; they're so approachable and make sure you're having a top time, whether it's a quick pint or a family do. The atmosphere is just lovely – warm, fun, and not at all stuffy, which is perfect if you're after somewhere to unwind and share a laugh. Prices are a real winner too; you get solid, no-nonsense food like a cracking full English at a steal, and the drinks deals are generous without skimping on quality. It's especially great for marking occasions, as it's accommodating and keeps things cheerful. On the flip side, it does wrap up by 11 PM, so if you're planning a longer evening, you might need to head elsewhere. And while it's all about that traditional pub charm, it might not wow you with anything extravagant – but honestly, that's part of its appeal for a laid-back crowd. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're looking for good value and a friendly face in Norwich.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff and owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • It's got a warm and lively atmosphere that's perfect for a good laugh and a catch-up with mates.
  • Prices are spot on for a budget-friendly night out, with cheap pints and solid pub grub that won't break the bank.
  • The food is classic and well-cooked, with generous portions that leave you feeling satisfied.
  • It's a brilliant spot for celebrations or family gatherings, where everyone can relax and have a great time.
Cons
  • It tends to close at 11 PM, which might feel a bit early if you're after a late-night session.
  • From what I've seen, it's more about straightforward pub vibes rather than anything fancy, so it might not suit those seeking something more upscale.

They definitely know how to have a laugh down here. If you are looking for lovely and lively this is the place to be and compliments to the chef because the cheesy chips and Hawaiian burger are amazing!!!! Definitely worth coming too for food, a quiz night, karaoke or football The Belle Vue has got you covered! Thank you Sarah and John for making it such a special night for her 🥳🥳 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A super friendly pub with solid, non pretentious food and a SUPER reasonable price! Food - I headed down for a full English and they didn't disappoint, everything was well cooked and solid quality, super generous portions at a really good price, my fry up cost £10 and was a large and I felt full for like 6 hours. My partner had a bacon roll, it was like £2.50, full of thick cut bacon. Griddle pan cooked (there is a difference and it's awesome) and brilliant. Can't fault it! Service - Super friendly, John and Sarah are lovely, they've run the place for a couple of years and are clearly passionate about what they do. Chatty and personable but not intrusive, again, can't fault it. They always have solid deals on. Atmosphere - The Belle Veu is an old English pub and it feels like it, it's warm, clean and calm space, John is an ex-servicemen and it shows in the décor. I'd call it a local if you get me? Accessibility - Fully wheelchair accessible, plenty of space and the bar isn't too tall. Parking is on street and very limited.
