About This Pub
Ah, The Farmers Arms – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a second home, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the team there are absolute stars, always ready with a smile and a chat, which really sets the tone for a laid-back evening. The food's a real highlight; folks rave about the homemade pies, fresh veg in the roasts, and those big portions that hit the spot every time – it's no wonder people are crossing town for it. Plus, with the beer garden and all those events like quiz nights and live music, there's always something on to make it feel vibrant without being overwhelming. On the downside, though, their online presence is a tad underwhelming, so you might have to plan ahead rather than rely on the website for details. And if you're thinking of dropping in late, remember the kitchen closes at 8 pm, which could cramp your style. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good meal and a catch-up with mates, but it's those little niggles that keep it from being perfect – still, I'd say it's well worth a visit for anyone in the area looking for that authentic pub vibe.

My family went here after my Grandads funeral. The staff didn't know we were coming and they were extremely accommodating. Fish and chips, nice big portion and a jacket potato cheese and beans were ordered and were enjoyed.
I would recommend this place 😊
Following a new chef and a kitchen refurb food is back at The Farmers with a great fresh start! The chef has come from the highly acclaimed Dog & Partridge and has worked with the owners to ensure great pub grub is cooked and served brilliantly. We were one of the first diners with the new team and menu and it was a great success, the food was excellent, great ingredients, cooked and served really well. Really pleased with the new food and definitely recommend that people go and try the new menu and team.
Had a lovely meal here, homemade pie was very nice indeed. Grandkids loved the food too.
Great food, really friendly staff. Despite today's record temperatures the staff couldn't do enough for you. Very impressed with the food. First time visitor but will definitely be back
