About This Pub
You know, when I think about the Greenwood Hotel, it just warms you up straight away – it's one of those places where you walk in and instantly feel at ease, like you're part of the gang. The staff are absolute stars, always up for a laugh and making sure everyone has a good time, whether you're there for the footie on the telly, a bit of karaoke, or just sinking a pint with friends. They've got loads going on, from darts and pool to being super welcoming for families and even the four-legged sorts, which is just lovely. It's clear this spot is at the heart of the community, and folks rave about how it handles events and get-togethers. On the other hand, it does tend to wrap up a bit early some days, so if you're planning a proper night out, you might find yourself heading home sooner than expected. Plus, while the drinks are spot on, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of food, which could be a shame if you're peckish. All in all, it's a cracking little pub for a relaxed catch-up, but it might not tick every box for a more adventurous evening.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit feel like catching up with old mates.
-
It's got a brilliant community vibe, perfect for families, dogs, and enjoying events like karaoke or watching the big match.
-
A great selection of drinks and plenty of activities such as darts and pool tables to keep things lively.
-
Ideal for private functions – they really go the extra mile to make occasions special.
-
The atmosphere is warm and homely, with a real sense of togetherness that makes it stand out as a local favourite.
Cons
-
It can have limited opening hours, often closing earlier in the evening, which might not suit those after a late-night session.
-
There's not much mention of food options, so you might need to pop elsewhere if you're after a proper meal with your pint.
-
As a smaller local spot, it might lack the variety or buzz of larger venues, depending on what you're in the mood for.
