About This Pub
So, let me tell you about The Egerton Arms – it's one of those proper Salford pubs that just draws you in with its warm, lively atmosphere. I love how the staff go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, like you're part of the gang from the moment you walk in. The real ale is spot on, and with live music on weekends, it's a brilliant spot for a relaxed evening with friends, especially if you're after that authentic local vibe. Being right next to the train station is a real bonus too – it's so handy for nipping into Manchester or just getting about. On the downside, though, if you're thinking of booking one of their rooms, a few folks have had a tough time with things like shared bathrooms that don't have locks and some grubby linens, which isn't ideal for a comfortable stay. Plus, there's no food on offer right now, so you might end up heading out for a bite, which is a bit of a shame. All in all, it's a cracking place for a pint and some good chats, but I'd say it's best for day visits rather than overnight – honest feedback from one mate to another!

-
It's got that classic, lively pub atmosphere with a great selection of real ale and live music on weekends.
-
Super central location right by the train station, making it a breeze to explore Manchester and Salford.
-
A proper old-school vibe that's perfect for a chat with mates and enjoying the local scene.
Cons
-
Some issues with the accommodation, like shared bathrooms without locks and dirty sheets or towels, which could put you off if you're staying over.
-
No food available at the moment, so you'll have to pop elsewhere for a proper meal.
-
One or two experiences mentioned the management seeming more focused on the fun than keeping things tidy and professional.

A good old pub filled with the peps that make a great community, the staff are fantastic , i wont name them but they will know who they are , i was there for 5 weeks and loved every moment of it , thanks for looking after me . Fae Fraser
Will never be coming back to this establishment again! It was a shared bathroom with no lock on the door! Dirty sheets, dirty towels that had spiders in them, rust on the mat in the bathroom!! Mattress felt like a PE mat with springs! Landlord would rather get drunk with the punters then spend the money on the hotel refurbing the rooms!!! We moved the wardrobe and there was a little door going into a different room!!! The film hostel comes to mind #pleasewatch, none of the appliance in the bedroom wasn’t pat tested since 2015…. please avoid at all cost
Nice old school pub, right next to train station in Manchester, very friendly and helpful staff, in process of getting improved by the new owner, great place, no food atm

A good salford real ale pub
Really central location for exploring the main attractions in the city centres of both Manchester and Salford, and right outside Salford City railway station. Friendly manager and staff, with a lively pub on the ground floor playing host to live music at the weekend.
