About This Pub
You know, chatting about The Crown feels like sharing tips with mates over a pint – it's got that classic pub charm that's hard to beat. From the reviews, it's clear folks love the cozy decor and how welcoming it is; one person mentioned it being a far cry from what they remembered years ago, now all spruced up and inviting. The staff really shine, being efficient and cheerful, which makes for a relaxed time whether you're just nipping in for a quick drink or settling in for the footy. The food gets a thumbs up too, especially the straightforward British fare like sausage and chips, and it's handy for families with a safe play area nearby. On the downside, it might not always buzz with energy – think quiet afternoons that feel a bit flat – and the lunch menu doesn't offer much variety, so you could end up wanting more options. Without any online info, it's a bit of a surprise what you'll find, but overall, it's a reliable spot that's worth seeking out if you're after an easy-going pub experience in the area.

They've got a great selection of drinks and solid pub grub, like that tasty sausage and chips that's just what you'd want from a traditional spot.
-
It's a brilliant place for watching events like the Euros, with a lively vibe when things are buzzing.
-
Family-friendly touches, such as the nearby play area, make it easy to bring the little ones along for a relaxed visit.
Cons
-
It can sometimes feel a bit quiet and lacking in atmosphere, especially on off-peak days like bank holidays.
-
The menu's a tad limited at lunchtimes, so you might not find as many options as you'd hope.
-
There's no website or online presence, which makes it tricky to check things like the menu before you pop in.

Finally came here for a drink on a Sunday after driving past loads and constantly saying “We should go there one day”.
Last time I visited was 20 years ago (wow I feel old). So wasn’t sure what to expect now.
It’s a lot different to what I remember! So cosy instead, great decor, loads of drinks to choose from. The barman was very patient with me and my fussiness on how much lime I like in my lager and lime (and he made it perfectly!).
Was lovely to sit outside, loads of seats and different options. Nice to have sofas out there and the birds are a really special touch!
Parking is great round the back! Loads of spaces.
Will visit again for sure.
Great place to watch the Euros which we did with our two dachshunds. Very efficient staff & lovely people, great atmosphere
It's an OK place if you just want a quick pint. Went on a bank holiday and only 3 people there. As much atmosphere as Mars. Staff was lovely but then again she only had four of us to look after. A big pub with a large empty area inside. Don't know how it survives; must be supported by a brewery or a philanthropist.
Not much of a drinker personally. Met up with my family to watch football, felt very welcomed by the happy staff. Beer was good, Happy to let grandchildren play on park as its away from the road and carpark. Didn't eat but food looked good. Tried to find menu online before I went but couldn't access one. Maybe it's only on social media which I don't do, Shame that.
I called in on a lunchtime to get some food whilst I was on my way somewhere. Only the smaller bar food menu is available at Lunchtimes. This consists of typical British pub food. I went for the sausage and chips. It was excellent. Very much like you'd have at home. Exactly what I want from a pub, basic but really nice food. Service was excellent too. I was surprised to find it was close to deserted though, this is a great pub which deserves your support.
