About This Pub
Ah, The Bell Inn – it's one of those places that really hits the spot for a relaxed evening out. From what I've gathered, the food steals the show; think juicy burgers that folks are calling the best around and steaks so tender they melt in your mouth – perfect for a hearty meal without breaking the bank. The staff are an absolute delight, always smiling and on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly, whether you're just nipping in for a pint or settling in for a full dinner. It's got that cosy, community vibe that makes you feel like part of the gang, especially on a bustling evening. But, let's be honest, it's not flawless – there was a mention of a drink not being poured just right, which left one visitor a tad disappointed on their second go. Still, with such high praise overall, I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area, as long as you go in with an open mind for the occasional off moment. All in all, it's a solid choice for good times and great nosh in Suffolk.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot on – their burgers and steaks are mouthwatering, with one chap raving about the best burgers he's ever had!
-
The staff are so friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home without being over the top.
-
It's got a lovely atmosphere, whether you're popping in for a casual drink or celebrating something special like an anniversary.
-
Prices are reasonable, offering great value for the quality of meals and service.
Cons
-
There can be the odd inconsistency, like one person noting their drink wasn't mixed quite right on a return visit, which put a slight dampener on things.
-
Experiences might vary a bit, as not every trip lives up to the high expectations set by the brilliant food and vibes.

The best burgers in the world! Probably!
Lovely pub and staff. We’d heard about the awesome burger so had to justify the order of 4 burgers!
Popped in for a drink. Brilliant place. Didn't eat myself but food looked awesome. Staff were lovely and the locals were so friendly. Came back today and have to say was not impressed. Ordered a large vodka and coke and had the same amount of coke as vodka. Paid what was asked, no problem. Went back same again and charged £1.30 less. I queried this because I didn't want the young lady who served me getting in trouble. The original bar lady, who i can only describe as a southern Bett Lynch looked at me disdainful and said she didn't charge you for the splash of coke. WHAT!! £1.30 for a touch of coke and said I don't make the prices that's what it is. Unbelievable. Tried to get in touch with the corporate head office. There isn't one. Was told to ring a pub the following day and someone might be there to answer my query. Never again. Rip off of the highest order. No wonder the pub industry is in a mess.
For a New Year's Day meal out I was happy for to be a Moss & Co, this particular restaurant is the better one to visit, lovely smiling staff, absolutely phonominal food & reasonably priced, not that it matters to me as I'm more passionate about the food & service, which this place has!
Thank you team! ☺️
Lovely pub lovely food and good service. We thoroughly enjoyed our pre-Christmas treat at the Bell Inn. It was a busy Thursday evening so a good atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was yummy. I’m sure we’ll be back.
What a gorgeous pub. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. The food was exquisite. Best steak my husband says he's ever had. Melt in the mouth. Lovely starter, mains & dessert. Staff were friendly & attentive but not in your face. I think our waiter was called Greg, and he was very polite. We did book a table, but a September evening, early week, it probably wasn't necessary. Outside seating for warmer days. There's a beautiful original flagstone floor & the place is full of charm. We will definitely return.
