About This Pub
Ah, The Copper Smokehouse – what a lovely spot it is in Oulton Broad. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is just brilliant; think mouth-watering smoked meats, burgers, and even some cracking vegan and vegetarian options that capture those authentic Deep South flavours without skimping on taste. The portions are generous too, so you're getting solid value for a moderate price, which always makes me smile. The team there are an absolute delight, always on hand with a friendly chat and making sure everything runs smoothly. And if you're popping in with your four-legged friend, they'll roll out the red carpet with treats and all, which is such a nice touch. On the downside, it's a shame about the odd slip-up, like that dry burger someone mentioned, and with closures on Mondays and Wednesdays, you might have to juggle your plans a bit. Plus, it can be quieter than you'd expect, so if you're after a bit more of a lively crowd, it might not always deliver. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for a hearty, enjoyable meal – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives far outweigh the little niggles.

Excellent place to have dinner. Good range of options on the menu as well as specials and drinks. Portion sizes were big and food was lovely. Place is very dog friendly, we pre-booked to take our cocker spaniel to dinner in the back room. Staff were really attentive and friendly. I had the maple bbq brisket. Highly recommend!
I came here with my partner Friday evening.
I have to say, the food quantity for the price was excellent. This is the first restaurant I've been to in the past year or so where I can honestly say that the amount of food on your plate is actually worth what you're paying.
The service was very good. The food does take a little while to come out, but it is freshly smoked and tastes amazing, so it is worth the wait.
The staff were very friendly and able to hold a conversation, which felt nice and not like we were just another table being served.
What an amazing find! Nearly all the food is GF or can be adapted. GF beer and lager on tap which is a rare find. Portions are huge, the service was so friendly and its dog friendly too. I don’t know why it was so quiet, perhaps just a mid afternoon blip but deserves to busy all the time. Thanks Paula and team
We are here on a weekend break for my dad's birthday.... found this restaurant by chance... so glad we did. The staff were polite and welcomed our dog with treats, blanket and water bowl....
Menu was good with lots of choice. We all chose different... when it arrived the portions were large and the food tasted amazing. Would highly recommend this restaurant and if we go back to that area again we would definitely be eating there x x
Me and my partner visited here last night and the service was amazing, the staff were very accommodating and polite. The starters were amazing and the steak I had was a 10/10! My partners burger was a little dry but overall a great place to eat and we will be back again for a Sunday roast!
