About This Pub
Ah, Broadview – what a little find in Lowestoft! I've got to say, it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a laid-back get-together. The food really stands out; that cheeseboard on Thursdays is a winner, with its delicious cheeses and biscuits, all presented beautifully and at a price that won't sting your wallet. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand to make sure you're looked after, and the atmosphere is just perfect for sinking into a comfy seat with a pint and some good craic. It's especially nice for an afternoon session or watching the footie with friends. On the flip side, though, I've heard a few grumbles about the service dragging on, like waiting half an hour for a basic sandwich that didn't quite live up to expectations – ingredients that felt a bit tired and not as fresh as they could be. Plus, if you're after food in the evening, you might be out of luck, as it's mainly an afternoon thing. All in all, it's a solid choice for us lot who fancy a proper pub experience, but it's worth keeping those points in mind to set your expectations right.

Cons
-
Service can be a bit slow at times, like when waiting ages for a simple lunch, which might leave you a tad frustrated.

Some food items feel basic and not quite up to scratch, with reports of low-quality ingredients that aren't as fresh as you'd hope.
-
It seems food options are limited to afternoons, so if you're popping in for an evening pint, you might miss out on eats.

Highly recommended the cheeseboard on Thursdays. Delicious cheeses and biscuits. Very well presented. Excellent value. We were all very impressed.
Came for a quick lunch on a Friday. Only two of us, once chose a wrap the other a sandwich (both cold). We waited 30mins for the food to bought out to us. When it did arrive it was very basic. I ate kine only because I was starving, but the ingredients tasted low quality and not very fresh. Would not return.
Top quality in every way possible. But for me it's an afternoon chill out place (getting old) 🤭👍. Excellent to take time out with visitors for a pint and a chat. ❤️
What a gem. Have lived in Lowestoft for years and haven't been here before. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff and great food very reasonably priced. We will be back
Spent a night there after mooring up at Oulton Broad. No food served at night only in the afternoon. Didn't bother me though as wanting to watch England v Scotland match. Charlie and Carla (Sheffield 😊) were attentive and looked after us through the night. Good pint and good atmosphere. Good mix of clientel. Blue Welsh Smurf also looked after us 😊. Thanks All.
