Broadview in Lowestoft

Ah, Broadview – what a little find in Lowestoft! I've got to say, it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a laid-back get-together. The food really stands out; that cheeseboard on Thursdays is a winner, with its delicious cheeses and biscuits, all presented beautifully and at a price that won't sting your wallet. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand to make sure you're looked after, and the atmosphere is just perfect for sinking into a comfy seat with a pint and some good craic. It's especially nice for an afternoon session or watching the footie with friends. On the flip side, though, I've heard a few grumbles about the service dragging on, like waiting half an hour for a basic sandwich that didn't quite live up to expectations – ingredients that felt a bit tired and not as fresh as they could be. Plus, if you're after food in the evening, you might be out of luck, as it's mainly an afternoon thing. All in all, it's a solid choice for us lot who fancy a proper pub experience, but it's worth keeping those points in mind to set your expectations right.
