About This Pub

Ah, The Bulls Head – it's one of those reliable spots in Manchester that you stumble upon when you're near Piccadilly and fancy a pint without the fuss. I have to say, the beers are a real highlight; they've got a solid selection of cask ales that are kept just right, and if you're in for a Sunday roast, it's a proper winner – nice and hearty, just what you need after a wander around the city. The staff are absolute gems too; that landlady is as welcoming as they come, and the bar team work their socks off, making the whole vibe feel warm and genuine. It's dead handy being so close to the station, so if you're passing through, it's an easy choice for a quick drink. On the flip side, though, the toilets are a bit of a letdown – they're not up to scratch and could do with some TLC. And let's talk prices; that £4.55 for a small Budweiser feels a bit cheeky, especially when you know there are other places nearby that might offer better value. Overall, it's a decent shout for a laid-back pint with mates, but if you're after something more polished, you might want to explore a little further. Still, I'd pop in again for the atmosphere alone – it's got that authentic pub spirit that's hard to beat.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The selection of beers is spot on, with well-kept cask ales that hit the mark for a traditional pub feel.
  • Service is top-notch – friendly staff and a welcoming landlady make you feel right at home.
  • It's conveniently located right by Manchester Piccadilly Station, perfect for a quick stop before catching a train.
  • They do a lovely Sunday roast, which is a real treat if you're popping in for some grub alongside your pint.
Cons
  • The toilets are in a bit of a state, which can put a damper on the experience.
  • Prices seem a tad steep, like that £4.55 for a small Budweiser – it might make you think twice about ordering another round.
  • It's not the most polished spot, and some might find it lacking compared to other pubs just a short walk away.

Toilets are rubbish and one bottle of small budweiser was £4.55 😂 made up prices because it's next to Manchester Piccadilly walk a little further for a decent pub.

Great traditional pub right beside Manchester Piccadilly station. Good selection of great beers. Very hard working barmaids - they both deserve a huge credit.

The cask ales are on the traditional side but are well kept, service is friendly and efficient, the elevator to platform 13/14 is just across the road, oh and the gents are upstairs.
