About This Pub

Ah, The Boot Inn – it's one of those spots that really hits the mark for a proper country pub experience, tucked away in the Warwickshire countryside and just a short drive from Solihull. I have to say, the food stands out as a real highlight; whether it's a hearty Sunday roast or something like their seafood platter, it's all prepared with care and leaves you feeling satisfied. Pair that with a great selection of real ales and wines, plus some tempting promotions like happy hour deals, and you've got a recipe for a cracking evening. The team there are spot on too, always polite and on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly, which adds to that warm, easy-going feel. On the flip side, it's not the cheapest place around, so it might be better saved for a special treat rather than a quick midweek pint. Oh, and it can get a bit stuffy inside sometimes, especially when it's buzzing, and with how popular it is, you definitely need to plan ahead to secure a spot. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after good food and a relaxed atmosphere, but just keep those little niggles in mind for a balanced outing.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely top-notch – think delicious Sunday roasts and fresh seafood platters that leave you wanting more.
  • The staff are always friendly and attentive, making every visit feel welcoming and personal.
  • It's got that lovely country pub charm with a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for unwinding with a pint or a glass of wine after a day out.
Cons
  • It can be a bit pricey, which might make you think twice for a regular night out, though it's par for the course these days.
  • The place sometimes gets too warm inside, which can make things a tad uncomfortable on busier evenings.
  • It does get quite crowded, so you might have to book in advance to avoid any hassle with getting a table.

Tried a Sunday lunch at this pub on the outskirts of Solihull last week. Was very busy due to a large function they were holding. Sunday roast was really good and plenty of it. Quite pricey but seems to be quite standard everywhere now. Would return if in the area.

Dropped after 8pm one Thursday evening hoping for food. Was not disappointed - they were still serving (phew) and seafood platter was great. Decent selection of real ales and wines too. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for, and I was not disappointed. Staff also attentive, polite and kept themselves busy serving and tidying. Thanks.

Absolutely lovely place. "Higher" Pub ambiance, high quality Food and attentive and friendly staff. Great selection of mains and sides. Staff able to tend to tables with the expected service, be it "high class" with champagne or just a fish n chips stopover. We may have had issues getting a table if we hadn't reserved.

Lovely place with some very high-quality food. The service is outstanding and the atmosphere was great, apart from being a little too warm throughout the evening. I do feel like it is expensive, but it's a nice place to go for the odd special occasion. Probably the best lamb I've ever had. I did feel abit awkward when the bill arrived and the optional service charge was written on... I felt abit pressured into paying it...considering the price of the final bill, the service charge was more than a meal and starter put together

Thoroughly delightful pub with busy yet pleasant atmosphere, even though busy with a private function, staff were friendly, polite and very attentive. We had the confit duck and pork cutlet, both were superb, delicious and ample portion size (with new potatoes arriving after the photo was taken) Highly recommended and will definitely be visiting again soon.
