About This Pub
Ah, The Railway Inn in Dorridge, what a lovely spot it seems to be! From chatting about the reviews, it's clear folks are head over heels for the place – the food stands out as a highlight, with people raving about hearty mains like that superb shoulder of lamb or the generous veggie options that hit the spot just right. The staff really shine too; they're so accommodating, whether it's sorting out a table for a family do or handling special requests with a smile, which makes you feel right at home. It's got that warm, community feel that's perfect for a Sunday roast or a casual drink, and at moderate prices, it's brilliant value without skimping on quality. On the flip side, the website's a tad underwhelming, so you might have to do a bit more legwork to plan your visit, and it does get packed at peak times, meaning booking ahead is a smart move to avoid any hassle. Overall, it's a solid choice for a good night out – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives far outweigh the minor niggles, but remember, every pub has its off days!

Cons

It can get busy, especially for popular times like Sundays, which might mean waiting or booking ahead to avoid disappointment.
-
While recent reviews are all glowing, the overall rating of 4.4 suggests that not every visit is perfect, so experiences could vary on quieter days.

Took my Dad to The Railway yesterday for Father's Day. My Mum currently going through radiotherapy and they couldn't have been accommodating with table, menu etc, the food was amazing and looking forward to finishing my veggie roast off for lunch, Highly recommended and a big thank you to Manager, Mark
Pre-booked and welcomed on arrival for a reserved table. Ordered a starter of the Focaccia to share. Two cocktails for £15 and a still bottle of water with an Argentinian Malbec to follow. Main course for me was shoulder of lamb which was superb and my wife had sticky cauliflower which had a great taste. For sweet, I had a mini cheesecake with flat White. attentive service for all our guests and toddler. A great evening out, and two weeks early. A great way to celebrate Father’s Day. I would heartily recommend the Railway Inn.
Thank you to the Railway Tavern for a great Sunday lunch today. We had a special family celebration and the pub was the perfect location. Great food, friendly service and a warm welcome from the staff. Definitely recommend this pub if you want quality food, good value and great service.

Update - 2nd visit to try fish and chips. Really well cooked and loved the fresh homemade tartare sauce.
Really impressed with the food, service and decor here at really good prices. The burger was really tasty and patty was generous! Loved the caramelised onions on it. Coleslaw was also high quality and fresh which is hard to come by. Best burger in the area definitely. Can’t wait to come back and try something else.
