About This Pub

Ah, The Bone Yard in Belfast is one of those spots that really knows how to get the atmosphere just right for a relaxed outing with friends – picture yourself lounging in that lovely outdoor area, maybe with a dog in tow getting some fuss from the team, and tucking into some solid grub like their burgers that always seem to hit the mark. The live music and colourful setup add a fun, upbeat energy that's perfect for letting your hair down after a long week. On the downside, though, the drinks prices are a tad on the high side, and there have been times when the tunes are cranked up a bit too much, making it tricky to have a proper natter. Plus, the beer choices aren't the most varied, and you might find not everything on the food front is up and running. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good time, but keep an eye on your wallet and the decibels for the best experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • It's super dog-friendly – they even provide water for your furry friends without you having to ask, which is a lovely touch for a day out.
  • The outdoor seating is brilliant, making it ideal for soaking up the sunshine or enjoying an evening under the stars in Belfast.
  • The staff are really welcoming and friendly, creating a warm atmosphere that makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
  • The food, like those tasty burgers, is spot on and hits the spot after a few drinks.
  • There's a great vibe with live music and colourful surroundings, perfect for unwinding and having a good laugh with mates.
Cons
  • Drinks can be a bit steep – that £6.65 for a pint might make you think twice before ordering another round.
  • The music volume can get too loud, especially during live sets, which makes it hard to chat without raising your voice.
  • The beer selection is a bit limited, so if you're after something special, you might end up disappointed.
  • Not all food options are always available, like some trucks not being open, which could leave you with fewer choices than expected.

Visited here for after work drinks. Live music playing at 5pm on a Friday but was far too loud for the amount of people in the place. A DJ came on after the singer and was at a much better volume. Pints are £6.65 which is a crazy price for an outdoor bar. There's also no decent beer for sale at all, it's all Diageo/Coors sort of terrible beer. Toilets are portable and in really poor condition (dirty and flooded). Do yourself a favour and spend your money somewhere else.

Absolutely brilliant place and dog friendly! Had an amazing night out with my colleagues and I brought my wee dog with me. Got treated like Kings! Upon reception we got a bowl of water for Denny without even asking! Everyone very friendly and accommodating, burgers and food in general is very good. Not too dark, music not too loud and the place wasn't too packed. Perfect for holding a conversation and having a good time with good food and drinks. Definitely give it a go if you haven't been there yet!

We came here spontaneously while the rugby was on, the place was empty and half the food trucks weren’t open but we got gorgeous food and a few drinks which were lovely. The place itself is very pretty so I would recommend!

We were in Belfast Friday night for a gig in the Limelight. Having not been in this part of the city for a few years we didn't even know about the Bone Yard. We went to Spoons next door initially for a few drinks and spotted the Bone Yard as we passed by. We decided to stop in for a quick drink before heading for our gig. I wish we'd not gone to spoons and stayed here instead. The atmosphere was great, the place was buzzing with lots of different groups and ages enjoying food and drinks. We got a seat by a heater which was fab in the cold weather. The staff were lovely and friendly too. Can't comment on the food or loos as we didn't use these. Would definitely make a point of coming back here again.

This place is full of vibes. Colorful, see the pics n videos. It has fantastic outdoor sitting. Perfect to spent an afternoon in the sunshine & equally good to spend a evening or a night out. Music was great and ambience was perfect to unwind and relax. Drinks selections is good, it's bar service, you go to the bar for drinks. The same applies with the food stalls. Food could be better. Food stalls are Orto, Wing It and Hi Burger. Went for Hi Burger, but burger was ok, not that great. Place could have few more food stalls, that would be great.
