About This Pub

Ah, The Perch Rooftop Bar – it's one of those places in Belfast that you hear about and just have to check out for yourself. Perched up on the fifth floor of the historic Linen House, it's got this brilliant rooftop setup that feels like a proper escape from the everyday grind, with stunning views and a cosy, intimate atmosphere that's perfect for a catch-up with friends over some expertly crafted cocktails. The bottomless brunch is a real treat, especially with the live DJs and singers cranking up the fun on weekends – I mean, who could say no to endless pizzas and prosecco for a steal? The staff are gems too; they're so friendly and on point, making sure your glass is never empty and you're having a whale of a time. But, let's be straight, it's not all sunshine and rainbows – I've heard tales of slow service where drinks take ages, and some folks have mentioned the toilets and counters being a bit of a mess, which is a shame because it can spoil the mood. The music's great for dancing but gets overwhelmingly loud, so if you're after a quiet chinwag, it might not be ideal. All in all, it's worth a visit if you're up for a party, just keep an eye on the busier times and maybe save it for when you're in the mood to splash out a bit. I'd say give it a go and see for yourself – it's got that special spark, but with a few rough edges that keep things real.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The rooftop setting is absolutely stunning, offering a perfect escape from the city hustle with great views from the fifth floor of the historic Linen House.
  • The cocktails are top-notch, with a fantastic selection of classics and unique creations made by skilled bartenders who really know their craft.
  • Bottomless brunch is a highlight, featuring delicious pizzas, beers, prosecco, and live DJs or singers that make for a lively and fun atmosphere.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always quick to serve and make you feel right at home, which really adds to the cosy vibe.
  • It's a brilliant spot for a night out with mates, especially with the live entertainment and options for private hire if you're planning something special.
Cons
  • Service can be a bit hit or miss, with some experiences involving long waits for drinks that leave you twiddling your thumbs.
  • Hygiene issues have cropped up in reviews, like dirty toilets and sticky counters, which can put a damper on an otherwise good time.
  • The music gets pretty loud at times, making it tough to chat over a drink without shouting across the table.
  • It's closed a few days a week, so you'll need to plan around that if you're hoping for a mid-week visit.
  • As it's on the pricier side, it might not suit everyone's budget for a casual pint or two.

Wouldn't visit here again. We requested our drinks from the cocktail menu. The person who was serving us then proceeded to walk around the bar several times but not actually doing anything. Eventually, almost 15/20 minutes later, after one failed attempt, our drinks were served. A sorry for your wait was given. We located a table and took a sip of the drink. Straight away it was obvious it wasn't what we'd ordered. We approached a person behind the bar, potentially the supervisor/manager, who said he'd deal with it but was busy right now. 10 minutes later he came back with the correct drinks. He did apologise. It's a shame because the place is quite nice with the roof terrace. It would have been a one star review had the drinks not been sorted and the experience was enough to mean we'd not visit again.

Nice rooftop bar but the worst toilets I’ve ever seen, it looks like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks. There are glasses covered in mould and mess all over the floor. We told the bar staff multiple times but they didn’t do anything in the time we were there.

Couldn't recommend this place more, the staff were so friendly. Went for a girls bunch day and we will 100% making this a regular stop. The music was brilliant, quick service, your never sitting with a empty glass. The food was delicious! Cant say a bad thing about this place. Love love love!

Cute decorated bar, with close and open rooftop. We were given a table at the bar and the counter was quite dirty/sticky, even after we ordered our drinks they were served on the dirty counter.. and unfortunately the music was so loud that I barely could understand the barkeeper although he was very nice. Wouldn't come back again but it's just my personal taste.
