About This Pub
Ah, The Blue Stoops – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its warm vibe right from the off. I love how the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, chatting away and remembering your preferences, which really adds to the fun. The drinks selection is ace, with an impressive array of beers and bourbons that could keep you entertained for hours. And when it comes to the food, well, that burger is a proper winner, and the desserts are a sweet finish that I'd happily go back for. The decor's spot on too, creating a lively yet cosy spot that's ideal for a catch-up or a solo pint. On the downside, it's not the cheapest place around – the prices for meals can add up quickly, and I've heard a few grumbles about dishes not being as hearty as hoped, like a cheeseburger that felt a bit light on the beef. Still, with all that positive buzz, it's a solid choice if you're after a good time in London, just maybe plan your budget accordingly and keep things simple if you're watching the pennies.

Cons
-

We went in for some pints. Ordering at the bar. Bartender asked if I wanted to set up a tab. My instinct said don’t as I’ll get service added for no reason but I’m local to Notting Hill & thought better of my judgement. I went to order bar snacks from the bar menu. Bar tender took my order as I had got up near my table. After we finished the bar snacks, which were delicious, I went to the bar for another round & settled my tab. A 13.5% service charge was added. Nearly £10 - when I did the journey to the bar for drinks & got up to order food. It’s a shame because the pub looks lovely, ale on point, great food & service is attentive. Sadly I feel conned tho for setting up a tab. I strongly believe in service charge & happy to pay it. But only when I receive table service. Will stick to my locals ‘The Churchill Arms’ & ‘Mall Tavern’. Leaving those establishments I never feel ripped off & annoyed.
Cheeseburger was not bad, very Big Mac-esque but heavier on the pickles - could be beefier though. Chips were aight. Meringue dessert was nice. Might come back to try the proper menu.

Excellent bar staff, particularly Ed who easily chatted away and took a sincere interest. Great asset for this place. The bar food was a little pricey but extremely good, the burger was top notch. A clean, beautifully decorated and well presented spot ... Unlike it's main competitor down the street. Will be back!
Brilliant atmosphere, excellent service and awesome beers! A very good alternative to the pub next door. I’ll come back for food for sure but I’m so happy with the drinks selection. Bourbon choice is immaculate. Might have one before I leave tonight. Brilliant place.
My husband and I really enjoyed our evening at this new and exciting gastro pub.
We we're warmly welcomed by the friendly and attractive staff. The front of house is a very lively pub. At the back is the restaurant; nicely decorated with banquets covered in tan leather, really lovey room.
My pork belly and greens were delicious as was my husbands beef pie. The portions were ample and filling but didn't come with sides (which was perfect for us), so if you have a big appetite, you'll need to order them. My glass of house white was very good and my husbands beer was delicious.
They have a nice menu with something for everyone and fair pricing.
Our server, Scarlet, was amazing. She was really knowledgeable about the drinks and food, plus she was just great fun.
We'll definitely be going back!
