About This Pub

Ah, the Old Swan – it's one of those classic London pubs that really knows how to make you feel at home. From what I've gathered from folks who've been, the food is a real highlight; think hearty, delicious pub grub like steak and ale pie or even tasty vegan options that surprise you with their flavour. The service stands out too – the bar team are quick and cheerful, turning what could be a simple stop for a pint into a proper enjoyable experience. It's got that lively buzz, especially when the big games are on, with screens everywhere and a great selection of beers to choose from. Being dog-friendly is a lovely touch, ideal if you're out and about in the area. But it's not all perfect; the music can sometimes be a bit overpowering, making it tricky for a relaxed chat, and every so often there might be a glitch with orders that disrupts things a tad. Still, with such high marks from regulars, it's clear this place gets more right than wrong, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after a solid night out in Kensington.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on, with standout dishes like the steak and ale pie and Sunday roasts that leave you wanting more.
  • The staff are proper friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in.
  • It's a brilliant spot for watching live sports, with big screens showing everything from football to rugby.
  • Being dog-friendly means you can pop in after a stroll in Holland Park without leaving your four-legged mate behind.
  • The pub has a clean, open feel with free Wi-Fi, making it a comfy place to relax or catch up with mates.
Cons
  • The music can get a bit too loud at times, especially if you're after a more chilled-out vibe on a quiet Sunday.
  • There might be the odd issue with orders or service slip-ups, though the team seems to handle them well.

We came around for a Sunday morning walk at the Hyde Park and decided to look for a Pub to have lunch. We definitely chose the best place around. Neeraj was at the bar and was super nice and helpful. I would just maybe change the music for something more relaxing than electronic music on a Sunday morning =)

We stopped here on a whim after a long day of being tourists. It was a delight! The food was some of the best pub food we have had in our visit. I had the classic steak & ale. The mash was scrumptious! My husband had the pulled mushroom chilli (vegan) - it was super yummy! The service was fast & Raj was great!

We stopped in here for the traditional Sunday roast and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The Old Swan is a clean open concept pub with nice lighting and great music. Lots of beer to choose from and good food. Great pub for food and drink.

There was a problem with the tickets used for our order and the kitchen never received it. The manager handled it well and was very apologetic even though it was completely out of his control.
