About This Pub
Ah, The Avion, what a gem of a Wetherspoon spot in Aldridge! I've got to say, it's one of those places that just hits the mark for a good, honest night out or a casual breakfast. The affordability is spot on; you can grab a hearty meal or a few drinks without breaking the bank, which is always a win in my book. The staff are an absolute delight – always up for a chat and quick to sort you out, which makes the whole experience feel warm and inviting. And let's not forget the atmosphere; it's got this fabulous old cinema vibe with clever decor that really brings the history to life, plus loads of space inside and out for when you fancy a bit of fresh air. On the flip side, though, their website's a bit of a faff to access, so you might end up winging it when planning a visit. It does get packed, especially around meal times, so if you're after a peaceful corner, you might have to time it right. Oh, and the upstairs toilets could be a minor hassle for some. All in all, it's a solid spot for us pub enthusiasts – worth a try for the great value and friendly feel, but just keep those little niggles in mind for the full picture.

Beautiful former old super cinema bought back to life by wetherspoons & now an affordable hub of the community like many others across the country .great staff & service .well worth a visit ❤️🥄🍿🎬
My pal picked me up from a nearby garage so I treated him to brekky. Second time I've been here. Staff are friendly and helpful, the food can't be faulted and the free refills for coffee etc just makes this the best value breakfast in town.
Great spoons, large open space with lots of seating, some cozy nooks, outside seating at the front and rear, lovely decor of old movies as it was an old cinema, very clean, toilets are upstairs, disabled downstairs, will be back for food next time as it was a quick visit.
Didn't eat there but fantastic relaxing day.
Went there 26th Jan for late Burns night supper. At 12pm, the place was packed. Mostly families having brunch following sporting events(I guess). Found a table and had a couple of drinks before ordering the Burns specials. I had haggis tatties and nepes and the wife had Caledonian burger. It was as expected and on a cold day, the plates were hot. Enjoyed it there. Laid back and a friendly atmosphere.
