You know, I had a wander into Tap East the other day, and it's one of those spots that really grows on you if you're into your beers. They've got this brilliant range of craft brews on tap and in the fridges, and it's dead easy to find something new to try – I mean, who could resist a recommendation from the staff? The atmosphere is just right for kicking back after a day of shopping or catching a game on the telly, and the snacks add a nice touch without being over the top. Prices are fair too, so you won't feel short-changed. On the flip side, though, there have been times when the service wasn't quite up to scratch, like staff being a bit too relaxed and not jumping to help straight away, which can put a dampener on things. And let's be honest, being in such a bustling area makes it feel a smidge impersonal at times. Overall, it's a solid choice for beer enthusiasts, but go in with realistic expectations for a balanced experience.

A great pub tucked away in the busy Westfield centre. If you’re looking for a chilled vibe away from the hustle bustle, this is a great spot to watch some sports and enjoy a beer from their wide selection. Shoutout to the pork scratchings too
Some really nice beers on tap and great selection in the fridges. Some nice nutty snacks available too. Barman very chatty and knowledgeable about beer. Suffers a little by feeling like it’s in a train station (because it kind of is!) but I still enjoyed it. Recommended for beer lovers in transit.
Fantastic beers. Sadly let down by staff who don't much seem bothered, unfortunately. When I arrived (mid-afternoon) there were no staff behind the bar, they were all on the bar stools having a chin wag and weren't particularly worried about getting up and serving. Couple that with empty glasses and crisp packets out on pretty much every table for the duration of my visit didn't leave a good impression. Hopefully just an off day and not a day to day issue.
I was looking for somewhere that wasn’t just a generic London bar, I wanted proper craft beer and by pure chance, came across Tap East, I’m glad I did. Good selection of beers, £13 for two different pints which I thought was reasonable. If you use maps to find it, it is a little confusing as it tells you that you’re at the location when you’re clearly not, so walk through the shopping centre and outside, you should see it.
There is only one toilet next to the bar but it was spacious. There was seating at high and low tables inside along with outdoor seating. Would recommend this place to anyone after a real beer.
