About This Pub

Ah, OutPost – it's one of those hidden gems tucked away near Westfield that I've heard mates rave about for its cosy feel and buzzing events. From what folks are saying, the place really shines with its welcoming vibe, especially during live music nights where the energy just lifts your spirits. The cocktails are a proper treat, especially during happy hour when you can snag a negroni for a fiver, and the pizzas and other grub come at prices that won't sting your wallet. Plus, it's dead handy being dog-friendly, so you can bring the pup along for the ride. On the flip side, though, it's not all smooth sailing – service can drag on a bit, and there've been tales of orders getting muddled, like ending up with garlic bread when you fancied something else entirely. If you're planning to bust out some moves at an event, the space might feel a tad squished, leading to the odd spill or two, which puts a damper on things. Overall, it's a solid spot for a casual night out, but I'd say go in with realistic expectations and maybe check the timings first to avoid any surprises. It's got that charm that makes you want to return, as long as you're up for a bit of the rough with the smooth.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is spot on – it's got a really nice, tight vibe that makes you feel right at home, especially with live music events that add a fun buzz.
  • The food and drinks are a highlight; think tasty pizzas, gorgeous cocktails, and even happy hour deals that won't break the bank.
  • Service can be top-notch when it's good, with staff who are friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring, making for a welcoming experience.
  • It's conveniently located near Westfield in Stratford, and being dog-friendly means you can pop in with your furry mate for a relaxed pint.
Cons
  • Service isn't always reliable – it can be a bit slow at times, and there have been mix-ups with orders, like getting garlic bread instead of what you asked for.
  • Space is a bit tight for certain activities; if you're there for something like a salsa event, it might feel cramped and lead to spills or disruptions.
  • The operating hours seem a tad inconsistent or confusing from what's listed, which could leave you disappointed if you turn up at the wrong time.
  • Food quality can vary; while some dishes are spot on, others might not live up to expectations, as mentioned in a few reviews.

I went to a salsa event. It's not really the right choice as not enough space and other pub users were spilling drinks on the dance floor. The vibe was nice and tight though.

Good spot but the service was quite slow and the food we ordered didn’t come out as expected. We ordered the flatbreads and Houmous from the online menu and the guy arrives with garlic bread and was confused to what we had ordered with the other members of staff.

Found this little place by accident during happy hour and oh boy it was fun. The cocktails are £5/pop during happy hour and they have 5 to choose from so I had the negroni which was quite nice. The staff was super helpful despite it being busy. I also had the margherita pizza which was not as bad as I thought. Granted it was just a western pan-style cheese pizza but for £7 not too bad. They also have plenty of outside seating and it's close to the park. I'd definitely recommend the place during happy hour.

Me and my friend came to Outpost, in Stratford (City), and was welcomed by the door staff and bar staff. I really liked the layout and deco, old doors hanging above a table that I'm sure was an old door too. The restaurant has a great selection of pizza and gorgeous cocktail menu. It is also dog-friendly, which can be hard to find this in parts of London. The service is great one of the best in the area. Loved the dessert Pizza, after eating a pizza - what you'd think is too much dough, it feels pretty different. Cocktails looked so good. And Madri beer, love it. Great time here with my friend. Thanks, Outpost team.
