About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about the Royal Oak – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local hideaway in Tettenhall Wood, Wolverhampton. From the website and what folks are saying, it's got this lovely, inviting vibe where you can settle in for a chat or cheer on your team with a cold pint in hand. I love how they've nailed the family-friendly aspect, with that beer garden being a real winner for sunny days or letting the kids play while you relax. The food sounds ace too, especially the Indian grill options that one reviewer raved about – definitely something to look forward to if you're peckish. And for us sports enthusiasts, it's spot on with its coverage of the big matches, making it a buzzing spot to gather with mates. But, to be fair, it's not all perfect; there was that one experience shared where the bar team were a bit over the top with shouting and some messy habits like vaping indoors and littering cig ends, which could spoil the mood if you're after a peaceful evening. Still, with most reviews glowing and an overall strong rating, I'd say the good far outweighs the bad – it's worth popping in for a try if you're nearby, just keep an eye out for those off moments.
Pros and Cons

The atmosphere is so welcoming and cosy, making it a great spot for a relaxed catch-up with mates over a pint.
-
They've got a fantastic beer garden that's perfect for families or enjoying the sun while keeping an eye on the little ones.
-
The beer selection is spot on, and the food from the Indian grill company is absolutely delicious – it's a real treat.
-
It's brilliant for sports fans, with regular coverage of matches on Sky Sports and TNT, creating that buzzy, community feel during games.
Cons
-
There were reports of some bar staff being a bit rude or unprofessional, like shouting and vaping inside, which can put a dampener on things.
-
A few mentions of cigarette ends being dropped and stamped on outside, which isn't ideal and makes the place feel less tidy.

Can’t wait to go again
Great afternoon in the sun. Nice 4 the kids, they can run around where you can see them. Beers great and nice atmosphere
Great family pub, beer garden is great and the staff are friendly.
Highly recommend
First time that I have visited. A nice and cozy pub with a friendly atmosphere. The beer was good too.
Went over for England game. Never been before. Bar staff shouting at us to form a queue before we'd even taken a look around, swearing, spitting, vaping inside bar area in the pub, plenty ashtrays about but several, including the landlord, chose to drop cigarette ends on the grass and stamp on them. We expected a friendly local but won't be going back for a while. Beer was good and prices very fair. Food for football was too expensive.
