About This Pub
Oh, what a treat Purecraft Bar & Kitchen is if you're wandering around Birmingham and in the mood for something genuine. I've got to say, the beer selection is top drawer – they've got an array that any real enthusiast would appreciate, and it's all served with such care that you feel like you're getting the perfect pour every time. Pair that with some solid food options that bring a fresh spin to pub classics, and you're in for a proper good time. The staff are an absolute delight, always ready with a smile and a suggestion that hits the mark. But, fair's fair, it does fill up quickly, so popping in without a plan might leave you waiting, and with last orders around 11pm, it's not ideal for those all-nighter vibes. Still, for a relaxed evening with mates, it's a winner – just keep an eye on the clock and book if you can. All in all, it's one of those places that reminds you why we love a good pub outing.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
Fantastic selection of beers, with highlights like Purity Pilsner and Longhorn IPA that really hit the spot for any ale lover
-
Friendly and welcoming staff who make you feel right at home, always up for a chat or a recommendation
-
Tasty food with a modern twist, such as lemon soup or Bavette of beef, paired perfectly with your pint
-
Reasonable prices for a city centre spot, so you can enjoy quality without breaking the bank
-
Polished and inviting interior that's great for a casual catch-up or pre-event stop
Cons
-
It can get quite crowded, especially on evenings or weekends, so you might need to book ahead to snag a table
-
Closing times are around 11pm most days, which might feel a tad early if you're in the mood for a late-night session
-
The focus is heavily on beers and ale, so if you're not into that scene, it might not be the most varied option out there

Popped in for a couple of pints before a social event elsewhere. Friendly service, great beer at a reasonable price for the location. Also very nice and polished looking inside.
The lady behind the bar asked if I was planning to get through each beer, and believe me, I'd have loved to! But I just went for the two I was sure I'd like most. They don't pack as much of a punch as other similar beers, but they make up for it with flavour.
Busy, fun and friendly tap house.
Great selection of beers, good food choices and friendly staff. I can recommend the purity Pilsner and a portion of pork scratchings 🐖😜
Popped into Purecraft for Sunday lunch. Had the lemon soup to start and the Bavette of beef washed down with a couple of pints of Longhorn IPA. Everything was perfect and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
I’m glad this bar has remained an entry in the Good Beer Guide; they’ve kept their prices down but the quality of the ale remains as good as ever. Make the most of it while you can!
If you love beer, this a must try place for their selection of beers!
They also have a selection of finger food that taste extremely good and I tried the espresso martini, which was delicious. Definitely a bar to try if you’re visiting Birmingham. May have to reserve as it gets quite crowded in the nights.
