About This Pub
Ah, Fox and Chance, what a gem in the bustling centre of Birmingham! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really knows how to deliver a cracking night out. The cocktails are the star of the show – they're award-winning and full of clever twists, like the Irish whiskey or that Fortune & Glory number that folks rave about. Paired with a welcoming atmosphere that's got that speakeasy feel, complete with fox-themed decor, it's just the ticket for sinking into a good chat with friends. The staff? They're an absolute delight, always on hand with recommendations and that table service makes you feel looked after without being over the top. It's no surprise they've got such glowing feedback, with everyone from first-timers to regulars singing its praises for the attention to detail and that lively yet relaxed vibe. On the flip side, it's mostly an evening affair, so if you're fancying a cheeky drink in the afternoon, you might be out of luck. And while being a bit hidden adds to the fun, it could catch you off guard if you're navigating the city for the first time. All in all, if you're up for some quality tipples and good times, I'd say give it a go – it's one of those spots that leaves you wanting to come back for more.
Pros and Cons

-
It's in the heart of Birmingham, easy to get to, and they've got a great selection for groups or special events like whiskey tastings.
Cons
-
It only opens in the evenings, so if you're after a daytime spot for a quick pint, you might have to look elsewhere.
-
The bar can be a tad tucked away, which adds to the charm but might make it tricky to find if you're not familiar with the area.

One of my favourite bars in Birmingham. The service, the cocktails and attention to detail is brilliant. And the menus are the best designed menus we have ever seen. Keep up the good work. Thank you!!
Visited Fox & Chance for the 1st time with my friend and fiancé, was an absolute delight from start to finish.
As someone new to cocktail bars, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the warm atmosphere and welcoming staff made the experience instantly enjoyable. George, Ellie, and Ryan were not only knowledgeable but genuinely engaging — sociable and quick-witted in a way that made the afternoon feel relaxed but fun. Each recommended their own cocktails off the menu that they liked, and every drink I tried was brilliant, full of flavour, crafted in front of me with care and skill. You can tell they’re passionate for what they do. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Speak-easy style cocktail bar. Decor has many foxes. Great place tucked away in the city centre of Birmingham
They have an extensive cocktail list which regularly changes but the bar can make you what ever you wish. Often get a dirty martini here as it’s very well done every time
Close to the train station and on the tram line. Perfect for a pre or post dinner jaunt.
Have been many times before and will come many times again I’m sure.
Most cocktails circa £10
Popped in for some drinks while away for the weekend in Birmingham and it was such a find! Really innovative cocktail list, good wine list and absolutely fab service. There was a really nice vibe to the place too and we really appreciated the table service! Would definitely go back next time we're in town.
Had passed this place many times but never thought about visiting. But I came here spontaneously with a few friends who were visiting and I was seriously impressed! All the cocktails we got were creative and so good, would highly recommend the Irish whiskey and the Fortune & Glory.
The music wasn’t too loud, and the dark lighting was so cosy! Friendly staff who kept coming round to top up our water, and served us very quickly. Whether it’s a for a casual drink or a date night, this is the perfect spot for it.
