About This Pub
Ah, Prop'ur Baa – it's one of those hidden gems that really hits the spot if you're after a friendly local haunt without all the hustle and bustle. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, and there's always a solid choice of ales on tap to keep things interesting. It's dead handy if you're out with the dog or just fancy a chinwag with the regulars in a cosy setting, complete with some charming old-style pub memorabilia that adds to the character. On the flip side, it's a smaller spot, so it might feel a touch cramped when it's lively, and with hours wrapping up around 9 PM, it's not the place for a long night. Still, for a straightforward, affordable pint in a welcoming atmosphere, it's well worth seeking out – just keep an eye out for any unexpected quirks that might pop up!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
They've got a brilliant selection of beers and ales on tap, perfect for anyone who appreciates a good pint.
-
Prices are spot on – reasonable and won't leave you feeling short-changed after a night out.
-
It's wonderfully dog-friendly, so you can pop in with your four-legged mate for a relaxed drink.
-
The atmosphere is just lovely for a chat and socialising, with like-minded folks enjoying a quiet catch-up.
Cons
-
It's a small bar, which means it can get a bit cosy and might not suit those after more space on busier evenings.
-
Opening hours are fairly limited, typically from around 3 PM to 9 PM, so it's not ideal for late-night plans.
-
There's that quirky mention of 'skeletons' in one review, which sounds like a fun jest but could be a tad odd for some tastes.

Great local bar with some nice beers on tap. Never been before but would go again.just watch out for the skeletons 🤣
First time there, having moved to the area recently. I must say the Landlord was so welcoming, everyone was so friendly and they even welcome dogs. Prices were good too.
Stopped in for a few drinks before a recent meal. Fantastic atmosphere and choice of drinks. Friendly staff too.
Very welcoming small bar to call in for drink while walking the dog. Not full of young ones and no loud music, just like minded people having a drink and socialising.
Great little real ale bar. He always has at least four ales on tap. And you will get some lively chat from the locals in there. Well set out with lots of old style pub memorabilia. We'll worth a visit.
