About This Pub

You know, when you step into the Prince of Wales, it's like popping round to a mate's house for a catch-up – the staff are dead welcoming and always on hand with a smile and speedy service, which really makes the place feel special. They've got a brilliant array of drinks on offer, from cracking cask ales to options for those skipping the booze, and the beer garden is just the ticket on a sunny afternoon, with its covered bit to shelter from any typical British drizzle. The events lineup, like live music nights and pool comps, adds a real buzz and keeps things fresh, making it easy to while away an evening with friends or family. On the flip side, if you're hoping for a proper hearty meal, the food's mostly just nibbles and sarnies, so you might need to plan ahead for that. And let's be honest, it does fill up quickly when the events are on, which could mean a bit of a wait or standing room only. All in all, it's a solid spot for a relaxed pint and a laugh, but it's the little touches that make it stand out in Chorley.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in
  • A fantastic selection of drinks, including cask ales, wines, spirits, and even non-alcoholic options to suit everyone
  • The beer garden is a lovely spot for enjoying a pint outdoors, especially with its covered area for when the weather turns
  • Regular events like live music, open mic nights, and pool tournaments keep the atmosphere lively and fun
  • It's a cosy, welcoming space with open fires and a dog-friendly policy, perfect for a relaxed get-together
Cons
  • Food options are mostly limited to snacks and sandwiches, so it might not hit the spot if you're after a full meal
  • It can get a bit crowded during events, which might make it tricky to find a quiet corner or a seat

Fantastic pub to spend evenings in with friends or family. Atmosphere is great with the pool table, leads to great pool tournaments and the live singer nights they have. The selection of drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic is great as a non alcoholic drinker. The owners and workers are welcoming and amazing as always.
