About This Pub
Ah, the Railway Hotel, it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its welcoming charm and that homely feel you don't always find these days. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute stars, always up for a chat and making sure everyone's having a good time, which really sets the tone for a great night out. The live entertainment on Saturdays and the sports screenings are brilliant for getting into the spirit, whether you're cheering on your team or just enjoying the tunes from the jukebox. Plus, with real ales on tap and prices that won't break the bank, it's easy to see why folks keep coming back for more – that cosy coal fire and the beer garden add a nice touch for when the weather's playing ball. On the flip side, though, the opening times can be a tad muddled, especially on Sundays, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any disappointment. And if you're heading there on a busy event night, you might find it a bit packed, which could mean a queue or two, but honestly, that's often a sign of a popular spot. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone in Chorley looking for a friendly pint and a laugh, with just a few niggles that don't take away from the overall good vibes.

Cons
-

-
While it's near the station, the location in Chorley isn't the most central for everyone, and it occasionally shows as closed on the website when you'd expect it to be open.

Absolutely fantastic place, bar staff and landlady are fantastic as well , great music 🎶 highly recommend
Casta and Tima decided to cross under the railway track to try this pub so close to the station. Did not look much from outside but inside is an absolute gem of a pub. Super features from ceilings to fireplace, fixtures and fittings. Lovely rear beer garden. Number 15 on the Chorley Real Ale trail. Three dart boards.TV's. An excellent pint of Wainwright Amber. Up to five real ales. A Marston pub, once Jennings. Great find. They are also a live music venue Chorley seems to support lots of live music ... if not pub food.
Excellent pub. I came a long way to visit this place, and it did not disappoint - that goes for the whole town as well. Yes, there is a jukebox with a good selection of music. I think you can have it search online for additional music if you need that. The bands on the weekend I was there were really great. Loud rock / metal (Riff Raff and Deathwish). The staff and management were terrific - the customers as well. This place has a lively, friendly energy about it. Cheers gang.
The Railway is a traditional pub searving real ales, theres always a lit coal fire and every Saturday there's live music on. Always a great atmosphere and the staff are warming and friendly.
