About This Pub
Ah, the Lord Nelson – it's one of those classic pubs that really captures the heart of a community in Gorleston-on-Sea. From what I've gathered from chats with others, the staff go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, and there's something genuinely charming about sinking into a good pint of Murphys or enjoying the lively buzz with live music playing. The beer garden is a lovely spot for a chat on a sunny day, and it's great to see they've thought about families with that children's play area. On the downside, it does get packed to the gills sometimes, and you might end up standing around because seats are scarce. I've heard tales of a few folks getting a bit too merry and dampening the fun, plus parking can be an absolute nightmare if you're driving over. And if you're fancying some food, be prepared for a wait – it might take an hour, which isn't ideal when you're peckish. All in all, it's a solid choice for an authentic pub experience, but it's worth going in with realistic expectations to make the most of it.

Fabulous proper pub...lovely pint of Murphys...well worth visit
Came for a party, but it was a Saturday night, it was busy and crowded but a few of the regulars were drunk and spoiled the atmosphere, there was not enough seats, the place was shabby and it was hard to find parking. The food that they provided was good, a good variety but came out an hour later than we were told it was being served. So I'm not rushing back.
