About This Pub
Ah, Leinster Arms – it's one of those classic London pubs that just feels like a proper spot to unwind after a long day, you know? Originally from back in 1856, it's got that charming, historical feel with a cosy atmosphere that's perfect for sinking into a chair and watching the footie or rugby on the telly. The food really shines here; I'm talking hearty dishes like fish and chips that are packed with flavour and come in generous portions, plus they've got a brilliant range of cask ales that any beer enthusiast would appreciate. The staff can be absolute gems, offering up friendly chats and solid recommendations, which makes it feel like you're among mates. On the flip side, though, service isn't always top-notch – a few have mentioned getting overlooked or even dealing with underwhelming experiences like a raw burger, which is a bit of a letdown. And that service charge on bar orders? It might raise an eyebrow if you're not expecting it. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening, especially if you're into sports or just fancy a good meal, but I'd say it's best to go in with realistic expectations to avoid any surprises. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit for the positives, but keep an eye out for those little niggles.

Cons
-
Service can be a bit inconsistent at times, with some folks mentioning they were forgotten about or didn't feel as looked after.
-
Food quality isn't always spot on – one chap had a raw burger, which is a real shame when you're expecting a solid meal.
-
They tack on a service charge even for orders at the bar, which might catch you off guard if you're not used to it.
-
It doesn't always live up to that warm welcome for everyone, especially if you're a tourist; a few said they felt a tad overlooked.

Went here on a work trip by myself. Staff at the bar were nice, my rating is based on 2 things;
1) meal came out 5 mins after ordering, burger was raw in the middle (see picture).
2) I noticed after that service was added to my bill….but I ordered my food and drink at the bar….is this normal for London these days?
This pub was close to our hotel and we wanted to give it a try, and it was worth it. The food was typical pub food, the portions were big and the food tasted delicious. Also the staff was friendly and gave good beer recommendations.
Went here between lunch and dinner and it definitely hit the spot for the typical British pub with its food offerings. Had the steak and venison pie, fish and chips, and pineapple cider. Service was good and prices are reasonable.
Maybe because we are tourist but we didn’t feel very welcome. The service was poor and we were forgotten about a number of time: The chicken schnitzel was very very good as were the chive mashed potatoes. We finished it off with a sticky toffee pudding to finish our trip. This place is good if you are wanting something close by.
A cozy and friendly place with a pub-style atmosphere. We had our first fish and chips here, and it was truly incredible. We loved it, and the taste lingered on our palate—we would love to come back again!
