About This Pub
Ah, the Bayswater Arms – it's one of those classic London pubs that you stumble upon and think, 'This could be a lovely spot for a catch-up.' Tucked away on Queensway, it's got that warm, inviting feel with a family-friendly atmosphere that makes you want to settle in for the afternoon. The staff are absolute gems; they're polite, quick to serve, and even go the extra mile with beer tasters if you're umming and ahhing over your pint. It's brilliant for beer lovers, with a good range on tap that really hits the spot. On the flip side, though, I've heard a few tales of the food not quite pulling its weight – things like steaks turning up overcooked or portions that seem a bit skimpy for the price tag, which can leave you feeling a touch short-changed. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're after a relaxed drink and a chat, but maybe hold off on the full meal unless you're in the mood for something simple. From what folks are saying, it's got that community spirit going for it, but keeping expectations in check on the grub side will make for a more enjoyable visit.

Not surprisingly, we found London very expensive. This Pub is no different. We, of course, wanted to have Fish and Chips (£35.50 for two dishes). It was OK, nothing great. The pub had a good ambiance and the food came pretty quick.
Such bad and disappointing food! Ordered the steak (medium) and steak sandwich (medium). Both disappointing. The steak was well done and when questioned they said it was medium. So just fatty, And cold! And tasteless and overcooked.
Steak sandwich, wow the bread was rock hard and unable to eat it. Again well done steak and inedible. We will definitely not be returning.
Also nice cider on tap! Disappointing overall
Lovely little corner pub! We visited after visiting Kensington palace for lunch during Easter week. Lovely staff, as we could not decide which tap beer to have , we were offered little tasters from different beer so we could make our minds up. Thank you, what a great service and tasty food!
3 of us wanted steak so walked around Queensway station, the menu outside showed it was reasonably priced. Staff were very polite and attentive. Place was clean.
Just under £20 for a meal. Tbh the portions could have been slightly larger you can see in the pictures it was limited amount of potatoes and veg. I ended up getting the pie, the inside was great but the actual crust was terribly hard. I flinched as I suddenly managed to cut through it as I had to put effort into cutting it then it cut like thin wood suddenly. You could literally tap or to make a sound it was so hard. usually the crust is the best part for me…my friends got steak, they were happy with it. They also loved the nachos. I’d be back again but not for the pie.
Nice pub a short walk from Bayswater station. They have a good selection of beer on tap, as you would expect from a Young’s pub.
Stopped by for a few pints while waiting for a dinner reservation at one of the nearby restaurants. The Bayswater Arms made for a nice place to have a break and read a bit after work.
I did however find the service to be a bit slow and inattentive. Which obviously did not make for a very welcoming experience.
Beyond that, the interior and atmosphere is nice, and would not have any reservations for returning.
